Abstract

A first electronic control unit (10) provided with a printed circuit board (13) and a second electronic control unit (E) having pressure sensors (30) mounted therein can be assembled with each other. Intermediate connectors (40) are mounted in the first electronic control unit (10), and terminal fittings (42) are accommodated therein. Each terminal fitting (42) is provided with a board-side connecting portion (53) to be soldered to the printed circuit board (13) and a resilient contact piece (51) to be resiliently brought into contact with a terminal portion (32) of the pressure sensor (30).

Claims

1. A construction for electrically connecting a circuit board (13) in a first unit box (10) and an electrical part (30) in a second unit box (E) as the first and second unit boxes (10, E) are assembled, the first box unit (10) having an intermediate connector (40;

40A) with at least one terminal fitting (42) having a first portion inseparably connectable with the circuit board (13) and a second portion separably connectable with a terminal (32) of the electrical part (30).

2. The construction of claim 1, wherein the intermediate connector (40;

40A) is mounted in the first unit box (10) via a displacement take-up means (58;

62) for resilient displacement relative to the first unit box (10) in a direction intersecting with an assembling direction (MD) of the two unit boxes (10, E).

3. The construction of claim 2, wherein:

the intermediate connector (40;

40A) is mounted with the terminal fitting (42) inserted through a mounting portion (20;

20A) in a unit main body (11) of the first unit box (10), and

the displacement take-up means (58;

62) includes at least one resilient piece (58;

62) on one of the intermediate connector (40;

40A) and the unit main body (11) and being resiliently deformable in the direction intersecting with the assembling direction (MD), and a receiving portion (24) on the other of the intermediate connector (40;

40A) and the unit main body (11) for receiving the resilient piece (58;

62).

The construction of claim 3, wherein the intermediate connector (40) includes at least one holding portion (55) engageable with the mounting portion (20) as the intermediate connector (40) is turned along a circumferential direction after being inserted into the mounting portion (20), and the resilient piece (58) extends substantially along the circumferential direction of the intermediate connector (40) and is engageable with a side (20c) of the mounting portion (20) substantially opposite from the side (20b) where the holding portion (55) is to be engaged with the mounting portion (20).

The construction of claim 3, wherein the resilient piece (62) extends substantially along the assembling direction (MD) of the two unit boxes (E, 10) and includes a resiliently deformable arm (63) and a lock (64) engageable with a side (20bA) of the mounting portion (20A) substantially opposite from the side (20aA) where the intermediate connector (40A) is to be mounted.

6. The construction of claim 5, wherein at least one of the lock (64) and the mounting portion (20A) has a guiding surface (27;

65) for guiding the arm (63) to undergo a resilient deformation as the intermediate connector (40A) is mounted along the assembling direction (MD) of the two unit boxes (10, E).

7. A brake oil pressure control unit comprising the construction for connecting a circuit board and an electrical part of claim 1.
