1. A circuit arrangement for supplying voltage to a load during normal operation and in a standby mode, with the arrangement having the following features:

  • input terminals (K1, K2) for application of a supply voltage (Vin), a first converter unit (1, 2), which is coupled to the input terminals (K1, K2) and which has a power factor correction circuit (1) and a switch-mode converter (2) which is connected downstream from the power factor correction circuit (1), with the power factor correction circuit (1) producing an intermediate voltage (Vb) across a capacitive energy storage element (C1) during normal operation, and the switch-mode converter (2) producing an output voltage (Vout) from the intermediate voltage (Vb), at the output terminals (K5m K6) of the first converter unit (1), a second converter unit (3) which is coupled to the input terminals (K1, K2), and which produces an output voltage (Vstb) at first output terminals (K7, K8) when in the standby mode, wherein the second converter unit (3) has second output terminals (K9, K10), which are coupled to the capacitive energy storage element (C1) in the power factor correction circuit (1) for supplying voltage to the capacitive energy storage element (C1) when in the standby mode.
