1. A method to create and use an antibody array to analyze gene expression comprising:
- producing antibodies by immunizing a murine animal with a polynucleotide sequence to yield antibodies that bind with an expression product of the polynucleotide sequence, arranging aliquots of the antibodies in discrete areas of a solid support to yield an antibody array, exposing the antibody array to a sample containing an antigen to react the antigen in the sample with the antibodies of antibody array, and correlating binding reactions between antigen in the sample and antibodies in the antibody array with expression of the polynucleotide sequence.

Abstract
The present invention is directed to an array of antibodies drawn to the gene products of a cell, where the antibodies are bound to a solid support. The antibodies of the antibody array are correlated on a one-to-one basis with the gene sequences to which the individual antibodies of the array are specific. Also, methods for use of the arrays to analyze gene expression profiling and the detection of disease are described.
