Abstract

In a liquid crystal display device, a recessed portion is formed in a portion of a periphery of a lower frame, a columnar member is provided to the recessed portion, the columnar member is allowed to pass through a hole formed in a projecting portion which is provided on an optical sheet, and a side surface of a liquid crystal panel is brought into contact with the columnar member. The columnar member provided on the lower frame not only determines the position of the liquid crystal panel with respect to the lower frame, but also determines the position of the optical sheet with respect to the lower frame and firmly holds the optical sheet onto the lower frame, thus preventing the disengagement of the optical sheet from the lower frame.

Claims

1. :

A display device comprising;

a liquid crystal panel;

at least one optical sheet having a first side and a second side; and

a mold case;

wherein the at least one optical sheet has a first projection portion protruding from the first side and a second projection portion protruding from the second side, the first projection portion has a first opening and the second projection portion has a second opening;

wherein the mold case has a first columnar member passing through the first opening of the at least one optical sheet and a second columnar member passing through the second opening of the at least one optical sheet, and the first columnar member and the second columnar member are formed integrally with the mold case by resin molding; and

wherein the second opening has a length extended in a first direction is longer than a length extending in a second direction.

A display device according to claim 1, wherein the at least one optical sheet is disposed between the mold case and the liquid crystal panel.

A display device according to claim 2, wherein the at least one optical sheet comprises a light diffusion sheet and a prism sheet.

A display device according to claim 3, wherein the second side is extending in the first direction.

A display device according to claim 4, wherein the first side is extending in the second direction, and the first direction is transverse to the second direction.

A display device according to claim 4, wherein the mold case has a recessed portion, and the first columnar member is provided in the recessed portion.

A display device according to claim 2, wherein the first direction is transverse to the second direction.

A display device according to claim 7, wherein the first side is extending in the second direction.

9. :

A display device according to claim 8, wherein the mold case has a recessed portion, and the first columnar member is provided in the recessed portion.

A display device according to claim 8, wherein the columnar member is serve as a guide for positioning the liquid crystal panel.

11. :

A display device comprising;

a liquid crystal panel;

at least one optical sheet having a first side and a second side; and

a mold case;

wherein the at least one optical sheet has a first projection portion protruding from the first side and a second projection portion protruding from the second side, and the first projection portion has a first opening;

wherein the mold case has a first columnar member passing through the first opening of the at least one optical sheet, and the first columnar member is formed integrally with the mold case by resin molding; and

wherein the first opening has a length extended in first direction is longer than a length extending in a second direction.

A display device according to claim 11, wherein the first direction is transverse to the second direction.

A display device according to claim 12, wherein the first side is extending in a second direction.

A display device according to claim 13, wherein the at least one optical sheet comprises a light diffusion sheet and a prism sheet, and the at least one optical sheet is disposed between the mold case and the liquid crystal panel.

A display device according to claim 13, wherein the second side is transverse to the first side.

A display device according to claim 13, wherein the columnar member is serve as a guide for positioning the liquid crystal panel.

A display device according to claim 12, wherein the first side is extending in the first direction.

A display device according to claim 17, wherein the second side is transverse to the first side.

A display device according to claim 17, wherein the at least one optical sheet comprises a light diffusion sheet and a prism sheet, and the at least one optical sheet is disposed between the mold case and the liquid crystal panel.

A display device according to claim 19, wherein the columnar member is serve as a guide for positioning the liquid crystal panel.
