Abstract

The subject of the invention is a transparent glazing unit having at least one viewing area and its use in a door of a refrigerated enclosure and more particularly a glazed door, the glazed area of which essentially consists of a vacuum glazing unit. According to the invention the viewing area is combined with an antifrosting absorbent layer deposited on at least one surface of the said area.

15. A method of manufacturing a refrigerator door having a transparent substrate, comprising:

mixing an isocyanate with a polyol to form a mixture;

applying the mixture to at least a portion of the substrate; and

curing the substrate,

wherein the substrate is part of a refrigerator door or is used to manufacture a refrigerator door.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the substrate is part of a refrigerator door.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein no water condenses on the portion of the substrate to which the mixture has been applied when said portion is maintained at a temperature of −

28°

C. and exposed to an atmosphere at a temperature of 25°

C. for 12 seconds.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein no water condenses on the portion of the substrate to which the mixture has been applied when said portion is maintained at a temperature of −

28°

C. and exposed to an atmosphere at a temperature of 25°

C. for 3 minutes.

19. A method of manufacturing a refrigerator door having a transparent substrate, comprising depositing a polyurethane directly on at least a portion of the substrate,

wherein the substrate is part of a refrigerator door or is used to manufacture a refrigerator door.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the substrate is part of a refrigerator door.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein no water condenses on the portion of the substrate to which the mixture has been applied when said portion is maintained at a temperature of −

28°

C. and exposed to an atmosphere at a temperature of 25°

C. for 12 seconds.

22. The method of claim 19, wherein no water condenses on the portion of the substrate to which the mixture has been applied when said portion is maintained at a temperature of −
