A method of producing a lipophilic liposomal composition, comprising the steps of (a) forming a liposome forming composition by admixing at an elevated temperature (i) at least one lipophilic ingredient selected from a group consisting of pharmaceutical lipophilic ingredients, cosmetic lipophilic ingredients, and cosmeceutical lipophilic ingredients, (ii) a liposome-forming lipid component, and (iii) a solubliizer for said liposome-forming lipid component;

The resulting liposome forming composition is then cooled.
