Abstract
An apparatus for sensing rotation of a wheel comprises means for sensing the earth magnetic field, disposed in the wheel, means for detecting a change of the sensed earth magnetic field in order to sense rotation of the wheel based on the detected change. Thereby it is achieved that rotation of the wheel can be detected in an inexpensive way.

a sensor disposed in the wheel, the sensor operable to sense the earth magnetic field; and

an apparatus operable to sense the rotation of the wheel, the apparatus comprising;
a sensor disposed in the wheel, the sensor operable to sense the earth magnetic field; and
