A liquid crystal display panel comprising at least a first substrate a second substrate between which plural pixels are formed, each of said pixels including a liquid crystal layer, a driving means to drive orientation of liquid crystal of said liquid crystal layer, common electrodes commonly connected to a voltage supply and a pixel electrode electrically connected to said driving means by which voltage is applied to said liquid crystal of said liquid crystal layer, wherein said common electrodes and said pixel electrode which is placed between two of said common electrodes are formed above said second substrate and have slope surfaces around pattern edges thereof tilting against said second substrate.

said common electrodes and said pixel electrode which is placed between two of said common electrodes are formed above said second substrate and have slope surfaces around pattern edges thereof tilting against said second substrate.

11. A liquid crystal display panel, wherein
a first phase plate and a first polarizer are formed on said first substrate in an order of surface thereof, a second phase plate, a third phase plate and a second polarizer are formed on said second substrate in an order of surface thereof, transmitting axes of said first and said second polarizers are mutually orthogonal, delay axes of said first phase plate and said third phase plate are mutually orthogonal, delay axis of said second phase plate and orientation direction of said liquid crystal layer are mutually orthogonal, retardations of said first phase plate and said third phase plate equal each other, a retardation of said second phase plate and a retardation of a liquid crystal layer of a transmissive portion, NZ number of said second phase plate is zero, and either one of said first phase plate Nz number or said third phase plate Nz number is unity and the other Nz is zero.
