Abstract

A remote control device searches for an image data storing device and a printing device that can be used by a user, and notifies an image taking device of device information obtained as a result of this search. The image taking device searches for a device having a predetermined function in response to an instruction from the remote control device, and if a device included in the device information notified by the remote control device is found, transfers an image to the found device. Alternatively, the image taking device connects to a device notified by the remote control device, and sends the image to the notified device to perform printing or storing thereon.

Claims

1. An information processor, comprising:

a storage device for storing data in a memory;

a receiving device for receiving device information, which is detected by a search processing executed by a control device for remotely controlling the information processor, from the control device; and

a transfer device for transferring data stored in the memory based on the device information received by the receiving device.

2. An information processor according to claim 1, further comprising:

a search device for searching for a device communicable with the information processor in response to an instruction from the control device; and

a discriminating device for discriminating a device having a predetermined function from among devices retrieved by the search device,

wherein the transfer device transfers data stored in the memory based on the device information received by the receiving device and the device discriminated by the discriminating device.

3. An information processor according to claim 2, wherein:

the predetermined function comprises a function for storing data; and

the transfer device stores the transferred data in the discriminated device.

4. An information processor according to claim 1, further comprising a deleting device for deleting the data transferred by the transfer device, from the memory.

5. An information processor according to claim 1, further comprising:

a photographic device for performing photography in response to an instruction from the control device;

a checking device for checking a free capacity of the memory after an image taken by the photographic device is stored in the memory; and

a notifying device for notifying the control device of whether the photography is possible or not based on a result of checking by the checking device.

6. An information processor according to claim 1, wherein the transfer device automatically transfers all image data stored in the memory.

7. An information processor according to claim 1, wherein the transfer device transfers image data designated by image designating information sent from the control device.

8. An information processor according to claim 1, further comprising a sending device for sending to the control device one of information on a device to which the transfer device transfers data and information on the data transferred by the transfer device.

9. An information processor according to claim 2, further comprising a notifying device for notifying the control device that the device having the predetermined function is not found based on discrimination performed by the discriminating device.

10. An information processor according to claim 1, wherein:

the device information comprises connection information for connecting with a predetermined device; and

the transfer device transfers data to the predetermined device for executing a service designated from the control device.

11. An information processor according to claim 10, wherein the service comprises one of a printing service and a storing service.

12. An information processor, comprising:

an operation device for remotely controlling another information processor;

a search device for searching for a device that is communicable with the information processor and has a predetermined function;

a sending device for sending device information based on search performed by the search device, to the other information processor; and

an instructing device for instructing the other information processor to transfer data stored in the other information processor,

wherein the other information processor transfers data to a predetermined device based on the device information sent by the sending device in response to an instruction issued by the instructing device.

13. An information processor according to claim 12, further comprising a display device for displaying information on the predetermined device, to which the other information processor transfers the data, based on information from the other information processor.

14. An information processor according to claim 12, further comprising:

a receiving device for receiving information on data stored in the other information processor; and

a selecting device for selecting data, which is to be transferred to the other information processor, based on the information received by the receiving device.

15. An information processor according to claim 13, wherein the display device additionally displays information on the data transferred by the other information processor.

16. An information processor, comprising:

a storage device for storing data in a memory;

a search device for searching for a device communicable with the information processor in response to an instruction from a control device for remotely controlling the information processor;

a discriminating device for discriminating a device having a predetermined function from among devices retrieved by the search device; and

a transfer device for transferring data stored in the memory to the device discriminated by the discriminating device.

17. A control method for an information processor, comprising:

a receiving step for receiving device information, which is detected by a search processing executed by a control device for remotely controlling the information processor, from the control device; and

a transfer step for transferring data stored in a memory based on the device information received in the receiving step.

18. A control method for an information processor capable of remotely controlling another information processor, comprising:

a search step for searching for a device that is communicable with the information processor and has a predetermined function;

a sending step for sending device information based on search performed in the search step, to the other information processor; and

an instructing step for instructing the other information processor of a predetermined processing,

wherein the other information processor transfers data to a predetermined device based on the device information sent in the sending step in response to an instruction issued in the instructing step.

19. A control method for an information processor, comprising:

a search step for searching for a device communicable with the information processor in response to an instruction from a control device for remotely controlling the information processor;

a discriminating step for discriminating a device having a predetermined function from among devices retrieved in the search step;

a receiving step for receiving device information on another device from the control device; and

a transfer step for transferring data stored in a memory to the device discriminated in the discriminating step based on the device information received in the receiving step.
