1. A radio transmission apparatus comprising:
- a transmission section that carries out weighting or delay processing on a plurality of data streams and transmits the data streams from a plurality of transmission systems; and
a control section that controls said weighting or delay processing so that at the time of retransmission of said plurality of data streams, the transmitted data streams follow a propagation path in an environment different from that at the time of previous transmission.

Abstract
Data streams stored in buffers (101) are modulated by modulation sections (102). Multipliers (103) multiply the signals output from the modulation sections (102) by weights output from a weight control section (112). The signals output from the multipliers (103) are added up by addition sections (104), subjected to radio transmission processing by transmission radio sections (105) and sent through antennas (106). A buffer control section (111) controls the buffers (101) based on a retransmission count output from a retransmission count detection section (110). The weight control section (112) outputs weights different from weights at the time of previous transmission to the multipliers (103) every time data is retransmitted. This allows a diversity gain at the time of data retransmission to be increased even if a time variation of the propagation path environment for radio signals is slow.

a reception section that receives a plurality of signals which has been sent from a radio transmission apparatus and followed different propagation paths simultaneously using a plurality of antennas;
a propagation path information acquisition section that acquires information on the characteristics of the propagation paths which said plurality of signals followed;
a data acquisition section that acquires received data streams from the plurality of signals received by said reception section based on the information on the characteristics of the propagation paths acquired by said propagation path information acquisition section;
a combination section that combines received data streams acquired by said data acquisition section at the time of previous reception and received data streams acquired at the time of re-reception; and
a notification section that notifies said radio transmission apparatus of the information on the characteristics of the propagation paths acquired by said propagation path information acquisition section.

a multiplication step of multiplying a plurality of data streams by a plurality of weights respectively;
a transmission step of simultaneously transmitting the plurality of weighted data streams from a plurality of transmission systems; and
a control step of performing control so that at the time of retransmission of said plurality of data streams said plurality of data streams is multiplied by weights different from the weights at the time of previous transmission respectively.

a reception step of simultaneously receiving a plurality of signals which has been transmitted from a radio transmission apparatus and followed different propagation paths using a plurality of antennas;
a propagation path information acquisition step of acquiring information on the characteristics of the propagation paths which said plurality of signals followed;
a data acquisition step of acquiring received data streams from the plurality of received signals based on the information on the characteristics of the propagation paths acquired in said propagation path information acquisition step;
a combination step of combining received data streams acquired at the time of previous reception in said data acquisition step and received data streams acquired at the time of re-reception; and
a notification step of notifying said radio transmission apparatus of the information on the characteristic of the propagation paths acquired in said propagation path information acquisition step.
