Abstract
A gaseous mixture including sulfur hexafluoride provides improved insulation properties for an implantable pulse generator. The mixture, including a leak tracing gas such as helium, is hermetically sealed in a biocompatible housing. In one embodiment, the mixture is maintained at a pressure greater than one atmosphere.
