Abstract

According to the present invention, there are provided vitamin D derivatives represented by the following general formula (1):
wherein R₁ and R₂ may be the same or different, and each represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group optionally substituted by a hydroxyl group, and R₃ represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group optionally substituted by a hydroxyl group.

Claims

1. A vitamin D derivative represented by the following general formula (1):

The vitamin D derivative according to claim 1, wherein R₁ and R₂ may be the same or different, and each represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by a hydroxyl group, and R₃ represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms and substituted by a hydroxyl group.

The vitamin D derivative according to claim 1, wherein R₁ and R₂ may be the same or different, and each represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by a hydroxyl group, and R₃ represents a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and substituted by a hydroxyl group.

4. The vitamin D derivative according to claim 1, wherein R₁ represents a methyl group, R₂ represents a methyl group, and R₃ represents a 4-hydroxy-4-methylpentyl group.

5. The vitamin D derivative according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein a steric configuration at a 20-position is the S-configuration.

6. The vitamin D derivative according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein a steric configuration at a 20-position is the R-configuration.

7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the vitamin D derivative according to any one of claims 1 to 6.
