Abstract

A targeting delivery system. The targeted delivery system includes a carrier for a drug and a targeted ligand modifying the carrier to target the encapsulated drug to a sigma receptor over-expressed cell.

Claims

1. A targeting delivery system, comprising a carrier for a drug and a targeted ligand modifying the carrier to target the encapsulated drug to a sigma receptor over-expressed cell.

2. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the targeted ligand is a benzamide derivative.

3. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the targeted ligand is anisamid.

4. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the targeted ligand is conjugated with a lipid to form a ligand conjugated lipid for modification of the carrier.

5. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the targeted ligand is DSPE-PEG-SP2-AA (Distearoylglycerolphosphatidylethanolamine-polyethylene-glycol(3400)-ω

-[2-(4′

-methoxybenzamido)ethylamine]).

6. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the carrier is a nanoparticle.

7. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the nanoparticle is a liposome, a polymer based nanaoparticle, or an emulsion.

8. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the nanoparticle is a liposome.

9. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drug is an organic compound, a peptide, a protein, an oligonucleotide, or DNA.

10. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drug is an oligonucleotide.

11. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drug is an anti-sense oligonucleotide.

12. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sigma receptor over-expressed cell is a tumor cell.

13. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 12, wherein the tumor cell is from breast cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, brain, or prostate cancer.

14. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 13, wherein the tumor cell is from head and neck cancer.

15. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 14, wherein the ligand is a benzamide derivative.

16. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 15, wherein the ligand is anisamide.

17. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 14, wherein the targeted ligand is conjugated with a lipid to form a ligand-conjugated lipid.

18. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 14, wherein the targeted ligand is DSPE-PEG-SP2-AA (Distearoylglycerolphosphatidylethanolamine-polyethylene-glycol(3400)-ω

-[2-(4′

-methoxybenzamido)ethylamine]).

19. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 14, wherein the carrier is a nanoparticle.

20. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 19, wherein the nanoparticle is a liposome.

21. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 14, wherein the drug is an organic compound, a peptide, a protein, an oligonucleotide, or DNA.

22. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 21, wherein the drug is an oligonucleotide.

23. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 22, wherein the drug is an anti-sense oligonucleotide.

24. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 23, wherein the drug is an anti-sense oligonucleotide against EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor).

25. A targeted delivery system, comprising:

a drug; and

a targeted ligand conjugated to the drug to target the drug to a sigma receptor over-expressed cell.

26. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 25, wherein the targeted ligand is a benzamide derivative.

27. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 25, wherein the targeted ligand is anisamid.

28. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 25, wherein the sigma receptor over-expressed cell is a tumor cell.

29. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 28, wherein the tumor cell is from breast cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, brain cancer, or prostate cancer.

30. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 29, wherein the tumor cell is from prostate cancer.

31. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 25, wherein the drug is an organic compound.

32. The targeted delivery system as claimed in claim 25, wherein the drug is an anti-cancer drug.
