Abstract
Glow-in-the-dark rigid and flexible polymeric thermoplastic sheets or films, and methods of making the same are provided. Specifically, the sheets or films may include a reflective backing that provides directional luminescence. In addition, the sheets or films may include a flame-retarded resin and/or flame retardant additive. Moreover, the sheets or films may include a protective topcoat to protect the phosphorescent sheets or films from abrasive materials, moisture, oils, and/or acidic or alkaline materials. The sheets or films of the present invention may further have adhesive materials disposed on a surface of the phosphorescent sheets or films for adhering the sheets or films to surfaces.
