1. A brightness enhancing film comprising the reaction product of a polymerizable composition consisting essentially of:

  • a) one or more first monomers selected from the group consisting of i) a monomer comprising a major portion having the structure embedded imagewherein R1 is independently hydrogen or methyl; and

    ii) a monomer comprising a major portion having the structure embedded imagewherein R1 is independently hydrogen or methyl, and L is a linking group independently selected from the group consisting of linear C2-C12 alkyl groups, branched C2-C12 alkyl groups and —

    CH2CH(OH)CH2

    ;

    and mixtures thereof;

    b) a second monomer consisting of 2,4,6-tribromophenoxyethyl (meth)acrylate;

    c) a crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of pentaerythritol tri(meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tetra(meth)acrylate, trimethylolpropane tri(meth)acrylate, and mixtures thereof;

    d) optionally a monofunctional diluent; and

    e) optionally a photoinitiator.
