1. A device for anchoring a filament to tissue or bone, comprising:
- a first component adapted to be embedded in bone and having a cavity formed therein;
a second component receivable within the first component such that the first and second components are effective to retain a filament therebetween, the second component including a frangible portion that is adapted to shear during deployment of the device into bone.
