An image processing method for a biochemical test of supplying a solution of a biochemical material to an array for the biochemical test, on whose surface each biochemical material specifically reactive with the biochemical material is held, and detecting emission intensity of a luminescent molecule using a label by the luminescent molecule for each probe array element of the array for the biochemical test by an array type detection unit, whereby reaction states of the biochemical material and the biochemical material specifically reactive with the biochemical material are inspected for each of the probe array elements, the method comprising:
- shooting an image of the array for the biochemical test as a sample image;
extracting, as a reference image, a background image obtained by excluding an image of a micro pattern indicating intensity of light generated from the probe array element from the sample image; and
correcting the sample image by use of the reference image.

An image processing method for a biochemical test of the present invention shoots a light image as a sample image by applying excitation illumination to an array for the biochemical test, extracts, as a reference image, a background image obtained by excluding an image of a micro pattern indicating fluorescence light generated from each probe array element from the sample image, and corrects the sample image by use of the reference image.
