Abstract

A method of managing medical information is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, at a first computer, requests for medical information from a second computer. The first computer responds by sending a set of instructions to the second computer. The instructions are sufficient to allow the second computer to automatically retrieve the requested medical information from a third computer.

Claims

1. A method of managing medical information comprising:

receiving, at a first computer, requests for medical information from a second computer;

wherein

the first computer responds by sending a set of instructions to the second computer which are sufficient to allow the second computer to automatically retrieve the requested medical information from a third computer.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the set of instructions sent by the first computer to the second computer is a World Wide Web Uniform Resource Locator.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first computer contains a plurality of instruction sets corresponding to medical information stored on a plurality of computers.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein a plurality of instruction sets corresponds to different medical procedures performed in the same patient.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein a plurality of instruction sets corresponds to different medical procedures performed at different times.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein a plurality of instruction sets corresponding to an individual patient are collected to form an electronic medical record.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein a plurality of instruction sets corresponding to a plurality of patients are collected to form a network of electronic medical records.
