Color reproduction system for making color display of four or more primary colors based on input tristimulus values
First Claim
1. A display apparatus comprising a color image projection unit and a screen, wherein:
- the color image projection unit comprises;
converting means for receiving image signals of three primary colors, and converting the received image signals of three primary colors into image signals of four or more primary colors, and color image projection means which comprises a plurality of image projection devices having respective primary colors, and which receives the image signals of four or more primary colors, and projects the received image signals of four or more primary colors onto the screen; and
the color image projection means is capable of physically adjusting positions of the image signals of four or more primary colors, which are projected onto the screen such that the positions of the image signals are coincident with each other.

2. A display apparatus comprising:
-
a plurality of color image projection devices having different color characteristics;
converting means for receiving image signals of three primary colors, and converting the received image signals of three primary colors into image signals of four or more primary colors; and
a screen which diffuses light projected from the plurality of color image projection devices, wherein the converting means outputs at least two of the image signals of four or more primary colors to a first color image projection device of the plurality of color image projection devices, and outputs at least a remaining two of the image signals of four or more primary colors to a second color image projection device of the plurality of image projection devices; and
wherein the plurality of color image projection devices project color images to superimpose the color images on each other on the screen, such that positions of the color images are coincident with each other. - View Dependent Claims (5, 6)
