1. Process for producing shoes in which the upper and the lining are joined to the area which forms the insole into a common, pocket-like component, whereupon the upper is formed over a last and is joined to the sole of the shoe, characterized in that before the lasting process an ankle support and/or an intermediate layer which is provided with a foot bed is introduced into the pocket which is formed between the upper and the lining.
