Abstract

A tent having a repositionable floor, the floor preferably including a pair of subpanels that mate together and form a water-resistant seam. The subpanels can be repositioned within the interior of the tent or exteriorly of the tent. Additionally, each floor subpanel can be retracted and secured to a wall of the tent so as to create a floorless or partially floorless tent.

Claims

1. A tent, comprising:

an enclosure at least partially formed of at least one wall panel of flexible material mounted to a frame; and

at least one repositionable floor panel secured to the wall panel, whereby the floor panel is movable between a first position and a second position.

2. The tent of claim 1, wherein the floor panel is retractable towards a wall panel.

3. The tent of claim 2, wherein the floor panel can be rolled up and secured adjacent a wall panel.

4. The tent of claim 3, wherein the rolled up floor panel is secured adjacent a wall panel with fasteners.

5. The tent of claim 1, wherein the floor can be positioned in an interior portion of the tent.

6. The tent of claim 1, wherein the floor can be positioned outside the tent.

7. The tent of claim 1, comprising first and second floor panels, with a closable seam between adjoining edges thereof.

8. The tent of claim 7, wherein the first and second floor panels have a relative width ratio of between about 50:

50 to about 75;

9. A repositionable floor for a tent, comprising:

first and second panels detachably coupled together at a seam, wherein each panel is attached along a first edge thereof to a wall panel of the tent, and wherein each panel has a second free edge along the seam.

10. The repositionable floor of claim 9, wherein the seam is water-resistant.

11. The repositionable floor of claim 9, wherein the first panel can be positioned in an interior portion of the tent and the second panel can be positioned exteriorly to the tent.

12. The repositionable floor of claim 9, wherein each of the first and second panels can be retracted.

13. The repositionable floor of claim 12, wherein the each of the first and second panels can be rolled up.

14. In a tent comprising at least two wall panels and a roof, the improvement comprising:

at least one retractable floor panel, each said retractable floor panel having a first edge secured to one of the wall panels, and a second free edge.

15. The improvement of claim 14, wherein the retractable floor panel includes a pair of retractable subpanels that can be coupled together.

16. The improvement of claim 15, wherein the retractable subpanels are removable.

17. The improvement of claim 15, wherein the retractable subpanels are repositionable within an interior portion of the tent.

18. The improvement of claim 15, wherein the retractable subpanels are repositionable exteriorly of the tent.

19. The improvement of claim 15, wherein a water-resistant connection is created where the subpanels are coupled.

20. The improvement of claim 15, wherein one subpanel is integral with a wall panel.
