Abstract
A communication device carries out communication using N number of communication channels, where N is an integer not less than 2. The communication device includes interleavers that shuffle a data series, which is meant to be transmitted over the N number of communication channels, in at least two directions from among a time direction, a space direction, and a frequency direction, and deinterleavers that shuffle the data series back to obtain the original data series.

N number of modulating units, corresponding to the N communication channels, which modulate the shuffled data series by a predetermined modulation method.

a trans-communication channel deinterleaving unit that carries out a second shuffling process on a shuffled data series, to regenerate an original data series, wherein at the transmitting end, the original data series undergoes an error correction encoding process to produce an encoded data series, the shuffled data series is generated by a first shuffling process, which is carried out by a communication device on a transmitting end, and which includes shuffling the encoded data series two-dimensionally in a time direction and any one of a frequency-divided communication channel direction and a space-divided communication channel direction, and the second shuffling process is a reverse of the first shuffling process; and
M number of error correction decoding units that decode the original data series according to the error correction encoding process used at the transmitting end.

M number of error correction decoding units that decode the original data series according to the error correction encoding process used at the transmitting end.

38. A deinterleaving method of a deinterleaver provided in a communication device that carries out communication using N number of communication channels, N being an integer not less than 2, the deinterleaving method comprising:
a second shuffling including shuffling of a shuffled data series to regenerate an original data series, wherein the original data series is meant to be transmitted over the N communication channels, the shuffled data series is generated by a first shuffling process that includes shuffling the original data series in at least two direction directions from among a time direction, a space direction, and a frequency direction, the first shuffling process being carried out by a transmitting communication device, and the second shuffling process is a reverse of the first shuffling process.
