1. A method of populating a database, comprising:
- receiving a plurality of document images;
defining a plurality of standard document types;
mapping each of the plurality of document images to one of the plurality of standard document types;
processing each document image through a data extraction process, wherein a specific document image'"'"'s path through the data extraction process is based, at least in part, on the mapping, wherein the data extraction process posts data from each document to the database;
receiving a request from a user for data contained in the database;
selecting the data using the request; and
displaying the selected data to the user.

Abstract
A method of populating a database includes receiving a plurality of document images, defining a plurality of standard document types, mapping each of the plurality of document images to one of the plurality of standard document types and processing each document image through a data extraction process. S specific document image'"'"'s path through the data extraction process is based, at least in part, on the mapping and the data extraction process posts data from each document to the database. The method also includes receiving a request from a user for data contained in the database, selecting the data using the request, and displaying the selected data to the user.

8. A system for populating a database, comprising:
-
a computing system having a processor and memory; and
instructions maintained on the memory and executable by the processor to;
receive a plurality of document images;
map each of the plurality of document images to one of a plurality of standard document types;
process each document image through a data extraction process, wherein a specific document image'"'"'s path through the data extraction process is based, at least in part, on the mapping, wherein the data extraction process posts data from each document to the database; and
in response to a request for data from the database, select the requested data and send it to a user. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12, 13)
