Abstract

A vehicle front body structure which includes: a longitudinal structural member provided at a front end thereof with a bracket which has a portion projecting downward from a lower side face of the longitudinal structural member; a transverse member connected to the longitudinal structural member at the bracket thereof; and a suspension member mounted to the longitudinal structural member with a front portion thereof fixed to the lower side face of the longitudinal structural member at a position in the vicinity of a rear side face of the downward projecting portion of the bracket.

Claims

1. A vehicle front body structure comprising:

a longitudinal structural member provided with a bracket at a front end thereof, which has a portion projecting downward from a lower side face of the longitudinal structural member;

a transverse member connected to the longitudinal structural member at the bracket thereof; and

a suspension member mounted to the longitudinal structural member with a front portion thereof fixed to the lower side face of the longitudinal structural member at a position in the vicinity of a rear side face of the downward projecting portion of the bracket.

2. A vehicle front body structure in claim 1, wherein

a lower end of the downward projecting portion of the bracket is positioned lower than a lower end of the front portion of the suspension member.

3. A vehicle front body structure in claim 1, wherein

the bracket further has a portion projecting upward from an upper side face of the longitudinal structural member.

4. A vehicle front body structure in claim 3, wherein

a stay of a bumper armature arranged in front of the transverse member is directly connected to the front end of the longitudinal structural member.

5. A vehicle front body structure in claim 4, wherein

the transverse member is configured to be indirectly connected to the stay.

6. A vehicle front body structure in claim 5, wherein

the transverse member has an opening to expose the front face of the front end of the longitudinal structural member, and the stay is connected to the longitudinal structural member through the opening.
