Paver and method for simultaneously casting several paving material layers
First Claim
1. Paver (F) for casting at the same time at least two paving material layers (L1, L2) on top of each other, in particular of concrete and/or asphalt, on a plane (P), comprising:
- a chassis carried by an undercarriage, the chassis being provided with at least one hopper and at least one longitudinal conveyor, and at least two paving screeds supported by the chassis each paving screed being provided with a compaction assembly, at least one of the paving screeds being arranged behind the undercarriage, a front paving screed for casting a lower paving material layer is provided at an end section of the chassis which is situated in operation running direction in the front of the chassis, and that the front paving screed is provided with a compaction assembly for generating a degree of compaction in the lower layer which suffices to withstand the load of the undercarriage directly travelling on the lower layer.

Abstract
At least two paving screeds B1, B2 which are distant in operation running direction R are supported at a chassis 1 of a paver F. The paver F is designed for simultaneously casting several paving material layers L1, L2 on top of each other on a plane P. Each paving screed B1, B2 is provided with a compaction assembly. One paving screed B1 for casting a lower layer L1 is provided at a front end section of the chassis 1 and has the compaction assembly 13, 14 for generating a degree of compaction in the lower layer L1 which suffices to withstand the direct contact of the undercarriage 2. At least one further paving screed B2 for casting an upper layer L2 is arranged behind the undercarriage 2. According to the method to be carried out with the paver F the lower layer which is cast and compacted in front of the undercarriage allows to run the undercarriage 2 on the lower layer while the upper layer L2 is cast and compacted behind the undercarriage 2.

Method for casting at the same time several paving material layers on top of each other, by means of a paver on a plane, the paver comprising a chassis carried by an undercarriage, at least two paving screeds supported at the chassis with a distance in-between in casting running direction, each having a compaction assembly, according to which method first a lower layer is cast and compacted and subsequently at least one upper layer is cast and compacted on the lower layer comprising the steps of:

casting a lower layer in the operation running direction in front of the undercarriage, compacting the cast lower layer to a degree of compaction which withstands the run of the undercarriage travelling on the compacted lower layer, running the undercarriage over the compacted lower layer during casting an upper layer on the lower layer, and casting and compacting the at least one upper layer on the lower layer behind the undercarriage. - View Dependent Claims (19)
