Abstract

A bus-bar integrated plate and outer frame section, arranged into a double-deck structure and having numerous bus bars molded with a resin molding plate portion, is provided as a wiring for connecting power switching elements and a smoothing capacitor, fixed on an outer surface of a cylindrical wall of a motor housing, to a printed circuit board serving as a control circuit.

Claims

1. A structure for mounting an inverter circuit used for controlling a motor of a compressor, wherein an inverter circuit section is accommodated in a casing, and said casing is attached to a housing of said compressor.

2. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 1, wherein inverter circuit section includes a power switching element for controlling power supply to said motor, and a heat-radiation surface of said power switching element is thermally connected via a heat-radiation member to a coolant introduced into said compressor.

3. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 1, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and said bus bars provide electric path for said inverter circuit section.

4. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 3, wherein said bus bars are connected to electrodes, terminals, and joint portions of electric components constituting said inverter circuit section.

The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 1, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and said bus bars provide electric path between a first circuit section including a power switching element and a second circuit section including electronic control devices that are disposed parallel to each other.

6. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 2, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and distal ends of bus bars protrude from a surface of said casing.

7. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 2, wherein said power switching element has one surface on which electrical connection electrodes are collectively disposed, and another surface serving as a heat-radiation surface.

8. The mounting structure for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 3, wherein said bus bars are made of copper or copper alloy.

9. A method for mounting an inverter circuit used for controlling a motor of a compressor, comprising the steps of:

arranging an inverter circuit section including a power switching element so as to be accommodated in a casing,

disposing a heat-radiation surface of said power switching element so as to be thermally connected via a heat-radiation member to a coolant introduced into said compressor, and

attaching said casing to a housing of said compressor.

10. The mounting method for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 9, further comprising the steps of:

forming a conductor plate into bus bars of a predetermined pattern by press, and integrating said bus bars with a resin by molding.

11. The mounting method for an inverter circuit in accordance with claim 9, further comprising the steps of:

inserting a protruding end of the bus bar exposed from said casing into a through-hole of a printed circuit board, and

fixing said protruding end of the bus bar to a joint portion of said printed circuit board by soldering.

12. A compressor equipped with a motor and an inverter circuit used for controlling said motor, wherein a casing accommodating an inverter circuit section is attached to a housing of said compressor.

13. The compressor in accordance with claim 12, wherein said inverter circuit section includes a power switching element for controlling power supply to said motor, and a heat-radiation surface of said power switching element is thermally connected via a heat-radiation member to a coolant introduced into said compressor.

14. The compressor in accordance with claim 13, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and said bus bars provide electric path for said inverter circuit section.

15. The compressor in accordance with claim 14, wherein said bus bars are connected to electrodes, terminals, and joint portions of electric components constituting said inverter circuit section.

16. The compressor in accordance with claim 13, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and said bus bars provide electric path between a first circuit section including a power switching element and a second circuit section including electronic control devices that are disposed parallel to each other.

17. The compressor in accordance with claim 13, wherein said casing accommodates metallic bus bars embedded therein, and distal ends of bus bars protrude from a surface of said casing.

18. The compressor in accordance with claim 13, wherein said power switching element has one surface on which electrical connection electrodes are collectively disposed, and another surface serving as a heat-radiation surface.
