1. A reference voltage generator circuit for providing and regulating a reference voltage, the generator circuit comprising:

  • a first subcircuit configured to provide a bias current based on a supply voltage, the bias current varying based on at least one performance characteristic of components comprised in the first subcircuit; and

    a second subcircuit coupled to the first subcircuit and the supply voltage, the second subcircuit comprising;

    first components configured to generate a bias voltage based on and proportional to the bias current, and second components having the at least one performance characteristic and configured to generate a compensation voltage based on the bias voltage that varies inversely to variations in the bias voltage to compensate for the variations in the bias voltage, and further configured to generate the reference voltage based on the bias voltage and the compensation voltage.
