Abstract
The solid electrolytic capacitor comprises: dielectric oxide film 2; solid electrolyte 3 composed of a conductive polymer; carbon layer 4; and silver layer 5, formed sequentially on a surface of anode 1 composed of a valve metal. The capacitor has excellent leakage current characteristics and electrical characteristics under hot and humid conditions due to doped naphthalenesulfonic acid compounds in the conductive polymer.

9. A method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor, the capacitor comprising:

an anode composed of a valve metal on that surface a dielectric oxide film is formed;
a solid electrolyte composed of a conductive polymer formed on the oxide film; and
a cathode formed on the solid electrolyte;
the method comprising;
immersing the anode into a solution for polymerization containing a monomer forming the conductive polymer, naphthalenesulfonic acid compounds and water; and
