Abstract
The present invention enables communication between devices employing different communication technologies. One embodiment of the present invention is a hybrid communication device that can transmit and receive both conventional carrier wave signals, and ultra-wideband pulses. Another embodiment of the present invention is a hybrid communication device that can transmit and receive different ultra-wideband communication implementations, or protocols. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a method of communication with a hybrid communication device comprising transmitting an ultra-wideband signal and a conventional carrier wave signal.
