1. A system for preventing the pirating of a theatrical experience comprising:

  • a local network;

    a local signature library adapted to;

    store emission signatures of imaging devices; and

    store thwarting measures associated with the emission signatures;

    a thwarting system connected to the local network, wherein the thwarting system comprises;

    a sensor arranged spatially proximate to an area wherein the theatrical experience is taking place and adapted to receive emission signals within the area wherein the theatrical experience is taking place; and

    a local thwarting system control server connected to the local network, wherein the local thwarting system control server is adapted to;

    receive the emission signals from the thwarting system;

    determine if the emission data is indicative of the presence of an imaging device;

    if the emission data is indicative of the presence of the imaging device, determine whether the emission data matches an emission signature of an imaging device stored in the local emission signature library; and

    if the emission data matches the emission signature stored in the emission signature library, then take a remedial action associated with the emission signature as stored in the emission signature library.
