1. A method of forming a tile, the method comprising the steps of:
- loading a digital image file into a computer memory;
creating a three-dimensional model in said computer memory based on said digital image file in said computer memory;
using a three-dimensional printer to create a physical object from said three-dimensional model;
creating a mold from said three-dimensional model; and
manufacturing a three-dimensional object from said mold.

Abstract
An electronic file containing height field mapping data is output to a specialized printer and used to create one or more three dimensional molds. The molds, in turn, may be used to fabricate bas-relief tiles and similar three-dimensional objects from various materials. The process allows for rapid deployment of customized design elements in many construction applications and environments.

a vacuum oven; and
a vacuum formed plastic bas-relief object manufactured by said vacuum oven based on said object.
