1. A driving circuit of a display device, the driving circuit having a plurality of interconnected stages for transmitting sequential output signals, each of the stages comprising:
- a driving portion which transmits the output signal according to an input signal and a clock signal; and
a discharging portion, which discharges a voltage charged in the driving portion, wherein the driving portion comprises;
a control electrode;
a first insulating layer on the control electrode;
a semiconductor layer on the first insulating layer;
an input electrode at least partially disposed on the semiconductor layer;
an output electrode at least partially disposed on the semiconductor layer and over the control electrode;
a second insulating layer on the input electrode and the output electrode; and
an auxiliary electrode disposed on the second insulating layer, connected to the control electrode, and overlapping the output electrode.

Abstract
In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention, a driving portion of a display device is formed on the same plane as a display portion of a display device. The driving portion includes cumulative layers of a control electrode, a first insulating layer, a semiconductor layer, a second insulating layer, an input electrode, an output electrode, and an auxiliary layer on top of the layers. Thus, the transistors within the driving portion may be more compact, while possibly reducing the likelihood of a short circuit between the electrodes.

a second semiconductor layer located on the first insulating layer and over the second control electrode;
a data line having a plurality of first input electrodes, each of the first input electrodes having a portion for contacting with the first semiconductor layer and being located on the first insulating layer;
a plurality of a first output electrodes, each of the first output electrodes having a contact portion with the first semiconductor layer and being separated from the data line;
a second input electrode portion having a contact portion with the second semiconductor layer;
a second output electrode having a contact portion with the second semiconductor layer, separated from the second input electrode, overlapping the second control electrode, and electrically connected to the gate lines;
a second insulating layer disposed on the data lines, the first output electrodes, the second input electrode, and the second output electrode;

providing a plurality of first output electrodes, each of the first output electrodes having a contact portion with the first semiconductor layer and separated from the data line;
providing a second input electrode portion having a contact portion with the second semiconductor layer;
providing a second output electrode having a contact portion with the second semiconductor layer, the second output electrode separated from the second input electrode, overlapping the second control electrode, and electrically connected to the gate line;
providing a second insulating layer disposed on the data line, the first output electrodes, the second input electrode, and the second output electrode;
providing a pixel electrode disposed on the second insulating layer and connected to one of the first output electrodes; and
