Abstract

A security apparatus using a telecommunication device is disclosed. A telephone microprocessor is used for sending a predefined security message to a security telephone number preprogrammed in the telecommunication device. A sensing device associated with the telecommunication device is used for detecting an undesired activity around or in association with the telecommunication device. The sensing device directs the telephone microprocessor to send the predefined security message to alert the undesired activity.

Claims

1. A security apparatus using a telecommunication device for alert communications, the security apparatus comprising:

a telephone microprocessor for sending a predefined security message to a security telephone number preprogrammed in the telecommunication device; and

a motion detector associated with the telecommunication device for detecting a motion and directing the telephone microprocessor to send out the predefined security message.

2. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein the motion detector is a physical motion detector that detects a movement of the telecommunication device.

3. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein the motion detector is a directional motion detector that detects a motion within a certain angular range.

4. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein a plurality of the motion detectors are collaboratively used to constitute an enlarged angular range of detection and a combined motion and movement detection.

5. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein the predefined security message is a text message.

6. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein the predefined security message is a voice message.

7. The security apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a mobile device call processing software responsive to the motion detector for directing the telephone microprocessor to send out the predefined security message, discreetly.

8. The security apparatus of claim 1 wherein the telecommunication device is a wireless telephone.

9. A method for detecting a motion by using a telecommunication device based security apparatus, the method comprising:

generating a detection signal when the telecommunication device based security apparatus detects a motion;

generating an interrupt signal by a telephone microprocessor of the telecommunication device based security apparatus in response to the detection signal; and

sending a predefined security message to a predetermined destination as an alert of a security issue in response to the interrupt signal using a security telephone number preprogrammed in the telecommunication device based security apparatus.

10. The method of claim 9 wherein the generating a detection signal includes detecting a movement of the telecommunication device based security apparatus.

11. The method of claim 9 wherein the generating a detection signal includes detecting a motion within a certain angular range of the telecommunication device based security apparatus.

12. The method of claim 9 wherein the generating an interrupt signal includes ignoring the interrupt signal when a security mode of the telecommunication device based security apparatus is not activated.

13. The method of claim 9 further comprising activating a security mode of the telecommunication device based security apparatus before generating a detection signal.

14. The method of claim 9 further comprising verifying an alarm telephone number preprogrammed in the telecommunication device based security apparatus before generating a detection signal.

15. The method of claim 9 wherein the predefined security message is a text message.

16. The method of claim 9 wherein the sensing device is a voice message.

17. A security apparatus using a telecommunication device for alert communications, the security apparatus comprising:

a telephone microprocessor for sending a predefined security message to a predetermined destination, using a security telephone number preprogrammed in the telecommunication device;

a sensing device associated with the telecommunication device for detecting an undesired activity around the telecommunication device; and

means for directing the telephone microprocessor to discreetly send the predefined security message to the predetermined destination, alerting the predetermined destination the undesired activity.

18. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is a physical motion detector that detects a movement of the telecommunication device.

19. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is a smoke detector.

20. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein a plurality of the sensing devices are collaboratively used to constitute an enlarged angular range of detection for the undesired activity.

21. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is a smoke detector.

22. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is an alcohol detector.

23. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is a temperature/thermal sensor.

24. The security apparatus of claim 17 wherein the sensing device is a carbon monoxide level detector.
