Abstract

Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for delivering dynamic media content to collaborators. Embodiments typically include providing collaborative event media content including a grammar and a structured document; receiving a plurality of disparate client location representations; generating a dynamic client context for a client in dependence upon at least one of the client location representations; detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context; identifying one or more collaborators in dependence upon the dynamic client context and the event; selecting from the structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon an event type and a collaborator classification; and transmitting the selected structural element to the collaborator. In typical embodiments, each disparate client location representation includes a client location value and a client location type.

Claims

1. A method for delivering dynamic media content to collaborators, the method comprising:

providing collaborative event media content, wherein the collaborative event media content further comprises a grammar and a structured document;

receiving a plurality of disparate client location representations;

generating a dynamic client context for a client in dependence upon at least one of the client location representations;

detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context;

identifying one or more collaborators in dependence upon the dynamic client context and the event;

selecting from the structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon an event type and a collaborator classification; and

transmitting the selected structural element to the collaborator.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein generating a dynamic client context for a client further comprises generating a dynamic client context in dependence upon the inferred user location.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein each disparate client location representation includes a client location value and a client location type.

4. The method of claim 1 further comprising inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein inferring a user location from a plurality of disparate client location representations includes inferring a client location in dependence upon client location values, client location types, and a ruleset.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein generating a dynamic client context further comprises:

acquiring data that describes the client and the client'"'"'s environment; and

storing the data describing the client and the client'"'"'s environment in a context server.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context further comprises:

detecting a change in a value of a data element in the dynamic client context; and

applying event detection rules base to the dynamic client context.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein providing collaborative event media content further comprises:

creating, in dependence upon original media content, a structured document, the structured document further comprising one or more structural elements; and

creating a grammar for the collaborative event media content, wherein the grammar includes grammar elements each of which includes an identifier for at least one structural element of the structured document.

8. A system for delivering dynamic media content to collaborators, the system comprising:

means for providing collaborative event media content, wherein the collaborative event media content further comprises a grammar and a structured document;

means for receiving a plurality of disparate client location representations;

means for generating a dynamic client context for a client in dependence upon at least one of the client location representations;

means for detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context;

means for identifying one or more collaborators in dependence upon the dynamic client context and the event;

means for selecting from the structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon an event type and a collaborator classification; and

means for transmitting the selected structural element to the collaborator.

The system of claim 8 further comprising means for inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein means for generating a dynamic client context for a client further comprises means for generating a dynamic client context in dependence upon the inferred user location.

10. The system of claim 8 wherein each disparate client location representation includes a client location value and a client location type.

11. The system of claim 8 further comprising means for inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein means for inferring a user location from a plurality of disparate client location representations includes means for inferring a client location in dependence upon client location values, client location types, and a ruleset.

12. The system of claim 8 wherein means for generating a dynamic client context further comprises:

means for acquiring data that describes the client and the client'"'"'s environment; and

means for storing the data describing the client and the client'"'"'s environment in a context server.

13. The system of claim 8 wherein means for detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context further comprises:

means for detecting a change in a value of a data element in the dynamic client context; and

means for applying event detection rules base to the dynamic client context.

14. The system of claim 8 wherein means for providing collaborative event media content further comprises:

means for creating, in dependence upon original media content, a structured document, the structured document further comprising one or more structural elements; and

means for creating a grammar for the collaborative event media content, wherein the grammar includes grammar elements each of which includes an identifier for at least one structural element of the structured document.

15. A computer program product for delivering dynamic media content to collaborators, the computer program product comprising:

a recording medium;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for providing collaborative event media content, wherein the collaborative event media content further comprises a grammar and a structured document;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for receiving a plurality of disparate client location representations;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for generating a dynamic client context for a client in dependence upon at least one of the client location representations;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for identifying one or more collaborators in dependence upon the dynamic client context and the event;

means, recorded on the recording medium, for selecting from the structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon an event type and a collaborator classification; and

means, recorded on the recording medium, for transmitting the selected structural element to the collaborator.

The computer program product of claim 15 further comprising means, recorded on the recording medium, for inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein means, recorded on the recording medium, for generating a dynamic client context for a client further comprises means, recorded on the recording medium, for generating a dynamic client context in dependence upon the inferred user location.

17. The computer program product of claim 15 wherein each disparate client location representation includes a client location value and a client location type.

18. The computer program product of claim 15 further comprising means, recorded on the recording medium, for inferring a user location from the disparate client location representations, wherein means, recorded on the recording medium, for inferring a user location from a plurality of disparate client location representations includes means, recorded on the recording medium, for inferring a client location in dependence upon client location values, client location types, and a ruleset.

19. The computer program product of claim 15 wherein means, recorded on the recording medium, for generating a dynamic client context further comprises:

means, recorded on the recording medium, for acquiring data that describes the client and the client'"'"'s environment; and

means, recorded on the recording medium, for storing the data describing the client and the client'"'"'s environment in a context server.

20. The computer program product of claim 15 wherein means, recorded on the recording medium, for detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context further comprises:

means, recorded on the recording medium, for detecting a change in a value of a data element in the dynamic client context; and

means, recorded on the recording medium, for applying event detection rules base to the dynamic client context.
