Abstract
The invention teaches improved, novel methods and materials for the production of antennas. The invention contemplates the use of Directly Electroplateable Resins for the production of these antennas. The unique suitability of Directly Electroplateable Resins to allow facile manufacture of the antennas desired using a broad range of processing and manufacturing approaches is demonstrated.

-
1. A selectively electroplated antenna comprising a DER.
- 2. An intermediate article of manufacture, said intermediate article comprising multiple antennas supported on a web, said antennas further comprising a DER.
-
4. A process for continuous manufacture of antennas, said process comprising;
-
supplying an electrically conductive buss structure extending in the length direction of a web, positioning additional structure joined to said buss structure, said additional structure comprising a DER and having the form of at least a portion of an antenna, causing said additional structure to have electrical communication to said buss, transporting said web through an electroplating bath while simultaneously imparting cathodic potential to said buss to thereby cause metal to be electrodeposited onto said additional structure.
