A database process matches items awaiting delivery with couriers wishing to deliver. Other embodiments are also described, such as methods and systems for matching users for in-flight assistance, sharing of space in shipping containers, and mail-order forwarding.

identifying a user who resides in the second location and is willing to place an order from the mail-order company on behalf of the user who resides in the first location and bring the order to the user who resides in the first location.
