- maintaining a schedule of availability of one or more training computers;
selecting and scheduling a training session on one or more of the available training computers;
configuring the one or more selected training computers at a central computer system with material to be used in the training session;
connecting a remote computer to the central computer system;
connecting the central computer system to the one or more selected available training computers;
controlling the display, keyboard and mouse of at least one of the training computers from the remote computer through the central computer system, over a global area network; and
managing the training sessions from the central computer system.

Abstract
An educational and training system allows organization and management of computers and course material used in teaching and administering classes of computer based information. Remote users access computers in laboratories or virtual classrooms as if they were actually using the computers within the laboratory or classroom. The system also allows management and tracking of the remote users and of other various course details.

configuring the set of available training computers to present the selected training material;
presenting the training material and receiving input from a remote computer user, the remote computer user controlling the display, keyboard, and mouse of one of the set of training computers from the remote computer; and
calculating and maintaining an amount of time spent by a remote computer user.

maintaining the availability of a first group of computers;
scheduling a learning session on one or more available computers of the first group of computers;
configuring the scheduled computer(s) at a central computer system with material to be used in the learning session;
connecting a remote computer to the central computer system;
connecting the central computer system to the scheduled computer(s);
connecting to and controlling the display, keyboard and mouse of one of the scheduled computers from the remote computer through the central computer system, over the Internet; and
