1. A method for the quantitative determination of atmospheric hydroperoxyl radical comprising:
- (a) contacting a liquid phase atmospheric sample with a chemiluminescent compound which luminesces on contact with hydroperoxyl radical;
(b) determining luminescence intensity from the liquid phase atmospheric sample; and
(c) comparing said luminescence intensity from the liquid phase atmospheric sample to a standard luminescence intensity for hydroperoxyl radical.
