Abstract

A device for capturing an individual'"'"'s breath as a keepsake includes a hollow blow-pipe insertable through an aperture through a neck fitted into an aperture of the vessel. After introducing one or more individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel, the vessel is sealed, such as by using a plug removably attached to an end of the blow-pipe disposed within the vessel and configured to engage the neck as the blow-pipe is removed from the vessel and disengaged from the plug.

Claims

1. A device for capturing an individual'"'"'s breath as a keepsake, comprising:

a vessel having an aperture formed therein;

a hollow blow pipe insertable through the vessel aperture for introducing the individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel; and

means for sealing the vessel after introducing the individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the blow pipe includes a mouthpiece at an end thereof.

3. The device of claim 2, wherein the mouthpiece is removably attached to the blow pipe.

4. The device of claim 1, wherein the sealing means comprises a plug removably attached to an end of the blow pipe disposed within the vessel and configured to seal the aperture of the vessel.

5. The device of claim 1, including a neck fitted into the aperture of the vessel.

9. The device of claim 5, including a cap insertable into the neck to seal the vessel.

10. The device of claim 1, wherein the blow pipe includes multiple inlets.

11. The device of claim 1 including a blow pipe adapter having multiple inlets attachable to the blow pipe.

12. The device of claim 1, including a base configured to support the vessel thereon.

13. The device of claim 12, wherein the base includes means for displaying a photograph or writing.

14. The device of claim 1, wherein the vessel comprises a glass bulb.

6. The device of claim 6, including a plug removably attached to an end of the blow pipe and configured to engage the neck to seal the vessel.

7. The device of claim 6, wherein the plug includes an air passageway in communication with an end of the blow pipe.

8. The device of claim 6, wherein the neck includes a chamber configured to receive the plug to seal the vessel.

15. A device for capturing an individuals breath as a keepsake, comprising:

a vessel comprised of a material adapted to retain air therein for a prolonged period of time, the vessel having an aperture formed therein;

a neck fitted into the aperture of the vessel;

a hollow blow pipe insertable through the neck for introducing the individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel;

a plug removably attached to an end of the blow pipe disposed within the vessel and configured to engage the neck to seal the vessel after introducing the individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel.

16. The device of claim 15, wherein the blow pipe includes a removable mouthpiece at an end thereof.

17. The device of claim 15, wherein the plug includes an air passageway in communication with an end of the blow pipe.

18. The device of claim 15, wherein the neck includes a chamber configured to receive the plug to seal the vessel.

19. The device of claim 15, including a cap insertable into the neck.

20. The device of claim 15, including a blow pipe adapter having multiple inlets attachable to the blow pipe.

21. The device of claim 15, including a base configured to support the vessel thereon and having means for displaying a photograph or writing.

22. The device of claim 15, wherein the vessel comprises a glass bulb.

23. A method for capturing an individual'"'"'s breath as a keepsake, comprising the steps of:

providing a vessel capable of entrapping an individual'"'"'s breath;

breathing into an aperture of the vessel to expel air within the vessel while introducing the individual'"'"'s breath into the vessel; and

sealing the vessel to trap the individual'"'"'s breath therein.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein the vessel comprises a glass bulb.

25. The method of claim 23, wherein the breathing step comprises the steps of inserting a hollow blow pipe into the aperture of the vessel.

26. The method of claim 25, wherein the blow pipe has a mouth piece at an end thereof.

27. The method of claim 25, including a plug removably attached to an end of the blow pipe within the vessel, the plug being adapted to seal the vessel aperture.

28. The method of claim 27, including the step of removing the blow pipe from the vessel after introducing the individual'"'"'s breath therein, and detaching the plug from the blow pipe to seal the vessel.

29. The method of claim 28, wherein the vessel aperture is defined 10 by a neck configured to receive the plug therein to seal the vessel.

30. The method of claim 23, wherein the vessel aperture is defined by a neck configured to receive a cap therein to seal the vessel.

31. The method of claim 23, including the step of providing a blow pipe extending through the aperture and having multiple inlets to introduce the breath of two or more individual'"'"'s simultaneously.

32. The method of claim 23, including the step of providing a base and displaying the vessel on the base.

33. The method of claim 32, including the step of displaying a photograph or writing with the base.

34. The method of claim 23, including the step of reciting a poem before the breathing step.

35. The method of claim 23, wherein the method of claim 23 is conducted as part of wedding ceremony.

36. The method of claim 23, wherein the method of claim 23 is conducted to express the individual'"'"'s love for another.

37. The method for conducting a ceremony, comprised in the steps of:

providing a vessel capable of entrapping an individual'"'"'s breath;

reading a previously prepared statement;

breathing into an aperture of the vessel to introduce one or more individuals'"'"' breath within the vessel; and

sealing the vessel to entrap the one or more individuals'"'"' breath therein.

38. The method of claim 37, wherein the breathing steps comprise of a step of inserting a hollow blow pipe having one or more mouthpieces at an end thereof into an aperture of the vessel.

39. The method of claim 38, wherein the sealing step includes the step of removing the blow pipe from the vessel after introducing the one or more individuals'"'"' breath therein, while moving a plug at the end of the blow pipe into the vessel'"'"'s aperture.

40. The method claim 37, including the step of displaying the vessel on a base having a photograph or writing pertaining to the ceremony associated therewith.
