Abstract

An apparatus or multiple driver video card that simplifies user interface design through displaying portions of a single image on multiple screens, and processing feedback from multiple devices as if the interface was a single device. Method, device, and computer-readable medium embodiments generate a user interface image, separate the user interface image into a plurality of sub-images, convey the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals, and configured to receive input data from the remote terminals.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

a video controller configured to generate a user interface image;

control logic configured to separate the user interface image into a plurality of sub-images;

a transceiver configured to convey the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals, and configured to receive input data from the remote terminals, wherein the control logic processes the input data from the remote terminals.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:

an input interface configured to facilitate the input data received from remote terminals to a relevant portion of the user interface image.

3. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising:

a video buffer configured to store the user interface image or sub-images.

4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the transceiver is configured to communicate over a communication network.

5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the communication network is a wired network.

6. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the communication network is a wireless network.

7. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the input interface acts as a Universal Serial Bus Interface.

8. The apparatus of claim 4, video controller is a Peripheral Component Interconnect video controller.

9. The apparatus of claim 4, further comprising:

a receiver configured to receive the user interface image from an external source.

10. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the receiver is configured to receive a Low Voltage Differential Signal.

11. An method comprising:

generating a user interface image;

separating the user interface image into a plurality of sub-images;

conveying the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals;

receiving input data from the remote terminals; and

processing the input data from the remote terminals.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the processing of the input data from the remote terminals includes mapping the input data received from remote terminals to a relevant portion of the user interface image.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the conveying of the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals is done over a communication network.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the communication network is a wired network.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein the communication network is a wireless network.

16. The method of claim 13 wherein the input data is output via a Universal Serial Bus.

17. The method of claim 13, the user interface image is generated via a Peripheral Component Interconnect video controller.

18. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

receiving the user interface image from an external source.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the user interface image is a Low Voltage Differential Signal.

20. An computer-readable medium, encoded with data and instructions, such that when executed by a device, the instructions causes the device to:

generate a user interface image;

separate the user interface image into a plurality of sub-images;

convey the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals;

receive input data from the remote terminals; and

process the input data from the remote terminals.

21. The computer-readable medium of claim 20, wherein the processing of the input data from the remote terminals includes mapping the input data received from remote terminals to a relevant portion of the user interface image.

22. The computer-readable medium of claim 21, wherein the conveying of the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals is done over a communication network.

23. The computer-readable medium of claim 22, wherein the communication network is a wired network.

24. The computer-readable medium of claim 22, wherein the communication network is a wireless network.

25. The computer-readable medium of claim 22 wherein the input data is configured to be output via a Universal Serial Bus.

26. The computer-readable medium of claim 22, wherein the user interface image is generated via a Peripheral Component Interconnect video controller.

27. The computer-readable medium of claim 22, wherein the instructions further causes the device to:

receive the user interface image from an external source.

28. The computer-readable medium of claim 27, wherein the user interface image is a Low Voltage Differential Signal.

29. An apparatus comprising:

means for generating a user interface image;

means for separating the user interface image into a plurality of sub-images;

means for conveying the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals;

means for receiving input data from the remote terminals; and

means for processing the input data from the remote terminals.

30. The apparatus of claim 29, wherein the means for processing of the input data from the remote terminals is configured to map the input data received from remote terminals to a relevant portion of the user interface image.

31. The apparatus of claim 30, wherein the means for conveying of the plurality of sub-images to remote terminals communicates over a communication network.

32. The apparatus of claim 31, wherein the communication network is a wired network.

33. The apparatus of claim 31, wherein the communication network is a wireless network.

34. The apparatus of claim 31 wherein the input data is output via a Universal Serial Bus.

35. The apparatus of claim 31, the user interface image generated via a Peripheral Component Interconnect video controller.

36. The apparatus of claim 31, further comprising:

receiving the user interface image from an external source.

37. The apparatus of claim 36, wherein the user interface image is a Low Voltage Differential Signal.
