1. A device, comprising:

  • an anode;

    a cathode;

    an emissive layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, wherein the emissive layer comprises a host and a dopant, and wherein the host material is selected from the group consisting of;

    embedded imagewherein each R represent no substitution, mono-, di-, or tri- substitution, and wherein the substituents are the same or different, and each is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, thioalkoxy, halo, haloalkyl, cyano, carbonyl, carboxyl, heteroaryl, and substituted aryl, and wherein at least one R for each Compounds I, II, III, or IV includes a carbazole group.
