Abstract
The present invention provides a weld stud that includes a base, a shank that has a thread and that is smaller in diameter than the base, a head that is on the opposite end to the base, and a neck located between the shaft and the head wherein the neck has a smaller diameter than either the head or the shank. Another aspect of the present invention includes a retention angle that is located between the head and the neck of the stud.
