Device, method and system for authorizing transactions
First Claim
1. A system for authorizing transactions of a plurality of applications, comprising:
- (a) a set of at least one application servers each operable to authorize transactions of at least one application, each transaction authorization being dependent upon receipt, by said authorizing server, of a transmitted code, and further being dependent upon verification by said server that said received code is an appropriate transaction code for said selected application; and
(b) at least one user device operable to verify identity of a user by comparing real-time biometric input from said user with data derived from biometric input provided by said user during initialization of said user device, said user device being further operable to select an application from among a plurality of applications and to emit a non-repeating non-guessable transaction code appropriate for said selected application, emission of said transaction code being dependent upon said biometric verification of user identity.

Abstract
A system, device, and method for authorizing transactions of a plurality of applications. The system comprises a plurality of application servers operable to authorize transactions of applications and a plurality of user devices. Each transaction authorization is dependent upon receipt, by the authorizing server, of a transmitted code verified by the server as being an appropriate transaction code for the selected application. Each user device is operable to verify the identity of a user by comparing real-time biometric input from the user with data derived from biometric input provided by the user during device initialization. Each user device is further operable to select an application from among a plurality of applications and to emit a non-repeating non-guessable transaction code appropriate for the selected application. Emission of the transaction code is dependent upon biometric verification, by the user device, of the user'"'"'s identity.

24. A user device for identifying a user during authorization of a transaction, comprising:
-
(a) a biometric input device operable to receive first biometric input from a first user during initialization of said user device and further operable to receive second biometric input from a second user requesting authorization of a transaction;
(b) a first memory operable to store data derived from said first biometric input;
(c) a processor operable to determine, by comparing said second biometric input with said stored data, whether said first user and said second user are a same user;
(d) a transaction code generator operable to generate a non-repeating non-guessable code recognizable by an application server to which it is addressed as being a transaction code appropriate for authorizing a transaction of an application running on said server; and
(e) a selection mechanism for selecting a selected application from among a plurality of applications, said user device being operable to emit a transaction code appropriate for authorizing a transaction of an application selected by said selection mechanism if and only if said processor determines that said first user and said second user are a same user. - View Dependent Claims (25, 26, 27, 28)

29. A commercial method providing a transaction authorization service for a plurality of applications, comprising:
-
(a) providing a plurality of user devices each operable store data derived from biometric input from a user supplied during initialization of said user device, each user device further being operable to verify identity of a user by comparing real-time biometric input supplied by said user to said stored data, said user device further being operable to select an application from among a plurality of applications and further being operable to emit a non-repeating non-guessable transaction code appropriate for authorizing a transaction of said selected application, said emission of said transaction code being dependent on said verification of user identity; and
(b) providing to an application operator a connection code recognizable by one of said plurality of user devices, which connection code enables communication between at least one of said plurality of user devices and a server device operable to authorize a transaction of an application running on said server device upon receipt of a transaction authorization request comprising said transaction code. - View Dependent Claims (30, 31, 32, 33)
