Abstract

An information providing method and apparatus in which a radio wave signal is transmitted from plural artificial satellites and received at plural receiving equipment located within a pre-defined service area, and receiving within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle by a receiving antenna. The plural artificial satellites are viewable in turn within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle at an arbitrary location within the pre-defined service area, and an orbit is arranged so that at least one artificial satellite is viewable. Each orbit of the plural artificial satellites is arranged on an individual orbital plane according to a designated service hour. The individual orbit is located in a range where an orbital inclination angle is 63.4 degrees or closer to Japan, and a right ascension of a north-bound node of the individual artificial satellite is separated approximately at regular intervals.

Claims

1. An information providing method of providing a service by transmitting:

a radio wave signal from plural artificial satellites and by receiving a radio wave signal at plural receiving equipment, comprising the steps of;

locating each of said plural receiving equipment within a pre-defined service area, and receiving said radio wave within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle by a receiving antenna thereof;

arranging an orbit for said plural artificial satellites so that at least one of said plural artificial satellites is viewable and said plural artificial satellites are viewable in turn within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle at an arbitrary location within said pre-defined service area;

arranging each orbit of said plural artificial satellites on an individual orbital plane according to a designated service hour, and said individual orbit is located in a range where an orbital inclination angle is 63.4 degrees or closer to Japan; and

providing a right ascension of a north-bound node of said individual artificial satellite which is separated approximately at regular intervals.

2. An information service providing method according to claim 1, wherein said radio wave signal represents a road traffic information transmitted from a ground station.

3. An information providing method according to claim 1, wherein an image transmitted from an ambulance car located within said service area is communicated to a paramedic center located within said service area, and a command from said paramedic center is communicated to said ambulance car through at least one of said artificial satellites.

4. An information providing method according to claim 1, wherein a distress people information transmitted from a mobile communication terminal located within said service area is communication through at least one of said artificial satellites to a rescue center located within said service area.

5. An information providing method of providing an information through an artificial satellite to a movable body, comprising the steps of:

transmitting to said artificial satellite information received from said movable body at a GPS receiving part and a desired information acquired by receiving an input for selecting an information desired by an user among selectable information;

receiving a signal sent from said movable body through said artificial satellite by an information provider apparatus, selecting an information corresponding to a location of said movable body and said desired information based on information sent by said movable body included within said received signal, and distributing said selected information through said artificial satellite; and

receiving and outputting said distributed information through said artificial satellite by said movable body.

6. An information providing method according to claim 5, wherein an information received from said movable body at a VICS receiver is further transmitted to said artificial satellite.

7. An information providing method according to claim 5, wherein said artificial satellite is an artificial satellite of plural artificial satellites which is viewable in a service area within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees.

An information providing method according to claim 7, wherein respective individual artificial satellites of said plural artificial satellites have an altitude control system and a communication system, and is viewable in turn continuously for 24 hours within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees at an arbitrary location within said service area.

9. An information providing method of providing information through an artificial satellite to a movable body, comprising the steps of:

transmitting and receiving a radio wave signal to and from said artificial satellite utilizing an information provider apparatus; and

transmitting and receiving to and from said artificial satellite, utilizing a communication system apparatus and a GPS receiving part, both provided at said movable body;

wherein said communication system apparatus comprises an information acquisition part for acquiring a desired information by receiving an input for selecting an information desired by an user among selectable information;

wherein a transmitting part for transmitting an information obtained by said GPS receiving part and said selected desired information to said artificial satellite is provided; and

wherein an output part for receiving an information transmitted through said artificial satellite and outputting an image information and a voice information is provided; and

wherein said information providing apparatus selects an information corresponding to a location of said movable body and said desired information based on an information sent by said movable body, and distribute said selected information through said artificial satellite.

An information providing method according to claim 9, wherein said artificial satellite belongs to a group of artificial satellites including plural artificial satellites having an altitude control system and a communication system, respectively, and being viewable in turn continuously for 24 hours within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees at an arbitrary location within a service area.

11. An information providing method according to claim 9, wherein said GPS receiving part has GPS antenna and receives a positioning signal from an artificial satellite forming a global positioning system and measures its own position.

An information providing method according to claim 9, further comprising a VICS receiver as an equipment at said movable body, wherein said transmitting part transmits information obtained by VICS as well as information obtained by said GPS receiving part, and said selected desired information to said artificial satellite.

13. An information provider apparatus for providing an information through an artificial satellite to a movable body comprising:

a receiving part for receiving a radio wave signal transmitted from said movable body through an artificial satellite; and

a distribution part for selecting an information corresponding to a location of said movable body and said desired information based on an information sent by said movable body, and distributing said selected information through said artificial satellite.

14. An information provider apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said receiving part and said distributing part performs receiving and distributing operations, respectively, through an artificial satellite viewable within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees;

and

wherein said artificial satellite has an altitude control system and a communication system, respectively, and belongs to a group of artificial satellites including plural artificial satellites viewable in turn continuously for 24 hours within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees at an arbitrary location within a service area.

15. An apparatus for receiving information service through an artificial satellite, comprising a communication system equipment for transmitting and receiving a radio wave signal to and from an artificial satellite, wherein said communication system equipment comprises:

an acquiring part for accepting an input for selecting an information desired by a user among selectable information and acquiring a desired information;

a transmitting part for transmitting said selected desired information to said artificial satellite; and

an outputting part for receiving and outputting an information transmitted through said artificial satellite.

16. An apparatus for receiving information service through an artificial satellite according to claim 15,

wherein said means for transmitting and said means for receiving and outputting perform transmitting and receiving operations through an artificial satellite viewable within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees;

and

wherein said artificial satellite has an altitude control system and a communication system, respectively, and belongs to a group of artificial satellites including plural artificial satellites viewable in turn continuously for 24 hours within a range of operational elevation angle equal to or larger than 55 degrees and equal to or less than 90 degrees at an arbitrary location within a service area.

17. An apparatus for receiving an information service through an artificial satellite according to claim 15, further comprising a GPS receiving part, wherein said transmitting means transmits further an information obtained by said GPS receiving part to an artificial satellite.

An apparatus for receiving an information service through an artificial satellite according to claim 15, further comprising a VICS receiver, wherein said communication system equipment, said GPS receiving part and said VICS receiver are provided at a movable body, and wherein said transmitting means transmits an information obtained by VICS as well as an information obtained by said GPS receiving part and said selected desired information to said artificial satellite.

19. An apparatus for receiving an information service through an artificial satellite according to claim 15, wherein said receiving and outputting means has a means for outputting an image information and a voice information.

20. An ambulance car data transmitting and receiving method of transmitting and receiving through an artificial satellite between an ambulance car having a transmitting and receiving antenna and a paramedic center, comprising the steps of:

locating said ambulance car and said paramedic center within a pre-defined service area, and transmitting and receiving said data within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle;

wherein said artificial satellite is formed as an artificial satellite of plural artificial satellites, and said plural artificial satellites are viewable in turn at an arbitrary location within said pre-defined service area, and an orbit is arranged so that at least one artificial satellite is viewable;

wherein each orbit of said plural artificial satellites is arranged on an individual different orbital plane according to a designated service hour, and said individual orbit is located at a pre -defined period in a range where an orbital inclination angle is 63.4 degrees or closer to the Equator;

wherein a right ascension of a north-bound node of said satellite is separated approximately at regular intervals; and

wherein said satellite controls an attitude of said transmitting and receiving antenna in response to a beacon signal, transmits an image information and a voice information indicating a state of health of a transported patient through an artificial satellite to said paramedic center, and receives a command transmitted from said paramedic center through an artificial satellite.

21. An ambulance car data transmitting and receiving method of transmitting and receiving through an artificial satellite between an ambulance car having a transmitting and receiving antenna and a paramedic center, comprising the steps of:

locating said ambulance car and said paramedic center are located within a pre-defined service area, and transmit and receives said data within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle;

wherein said artificial satellite is formed as an artificial satellite of plural artificial satellites, and said plural artificial satellites are viewable in turn within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle at an arbitrary location within said pre-defined service area, and an orbit is arranged so that at least one artificial satellite is viewable;

wherein each orbit of said plural artificial satellites is arranged on an individual different orbital plane according to a designated service hour, and said individual orbit is located at a pre-defined period in a range where an orbital inclination angle is 63.4 degrees or closer to the Equator;

wherein a right ascension of a north-bound node of said satellite is separated approximately at regular intervals;

wherein said ambulance car has a correspondence telephone, a transmitting part for transmitting an image information and a voice information indicating a state of health of a transported patient through an artificial satellite to said paramedic center, and a receiving part for receiving a command transmitted from said paramedic center through an artificial satellite; and

said transmitting part for transmitting information to said paramedic center transmits an information of said correspondence telephone to said paramedic center through said artificial satellite, and said receiving part for receiving a command receives a command from said paramedic center through said artificial satellite, and transfer a command to said correspondence telephone.

22. An ambulance car data transmitting and receiving method according to claim 21, wherein said ambulance car performs an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, and wherein said attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna is performed in response to a beacon signal.

23. An ambulance car data transmitting and receiving method according to claim 21, wherein said ambulance car further comprises a data supplying part for supplying a supplementary data for optimizing a means for performing an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, and wherein said data supplying part for supplying said supplementary data has a GPS antenna and a GPS receiving part, and receives a positioning signal from a GPS satellite and supplies a supplementary data for said attitude control.

24. An ambulance car data transmitting and receiving method according to claim 22, wherein said ambulance car further comprises a supplementary data supplying part for supplying a supplementary data for optimizing a means for performing an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, and wherein said supplementary data supplying part for supplying said supplementary data has a VICS antenna and VICS receiver, and supplies an information from a VICS receiver as a supplementary data for said attitude control.

25. An ambulance car for transmitting and receiving data to and from a paramedic center through an artificial satellite, comprising:

a transmitting and receiving antenna;

a correspondence telephone;

a transmitting part for transmitting an image information and a voice information indicating a state of health of a transported patient through an artificial satellite to said paramedic center; and

a receiving part for receiving a command transmitted from said paramedic center through an artificial satellite;

wherein said transmitting part for transmitting information to said paramedic center transmits an information of said correspondence telephone to said paramedic center through said artificial satellite; and

wherein said receiving part for receiving a command receives a command from said paramedic center through said artificial satellite, and transfer a command to said correspondence telephone.

26. An ambulance car according to claim 25, performing an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, wherein said attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna is performed in response to a beacon signal.

27. An ambulance car according to claim 26, for supplying a supplementary data for optimizing a means for performing an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, comprising a GPS antenna and a GPS receiving part, receiving a positioning signal from a GPS satellite and supplying a supplementary data for said attitude control.

28. An ambulance car according to claim 26, further comprising a supplementary data supplying part for supplying a supplementary data for optimizing a means for performing an attitude control of said transmitting and receiving antenna, wherein said supplementary data supplying part for supplying said supplementary data has a VICS antenna and a VICS receiver, and supplies information from said VICS receiver as a supplementary data for said attitude control.

29. A terminal equipment for transmitting and receiving data to and from a paramedic center through an artificial satellite, comprising:

a correspondence telephone;

a transmitting part for transmitting an image information and a voice information indicating a state of health of a transported patient through an artificial satellite to said paramedic center; and

a receiving part for receiving a command transmitted from said paramedic center through an artificial satellite;

wherein said transmitting part for transmitting information to said paramedic center transmits information of said correspondence telephone to said paramedic center through said artificial satellite, and said receiving part for receiving a command receives a command from said paramedic center through said artificial satellite, and transfer a command to said correspondence telephone.
