Abstract

A security system capable of safely performing home device state check or operation. In the security system, a mobile telephone module of a mobile telephone transmits M-series data (call signal) to home device modules provided in home devices such as a door lock and home electric appliances. In response to this call, the home device module returns a home device ID to the mobile telephone module. The mobile telephone module authenticates the home device module according to the home device ID and after authentication, returns a mobile telephone ID and state check or operation command to the home device module. The home device module authenticates the mobile telephone module according to the mobile telephone ID. When this mutual authentication is complete, the home device module performs the home device state check or operation according to the command and returns the result to the mobile telephone module. Thus, the state check or operation is performed after mutual authentication and it is possible to prevent an unauthorized access of a third person.

Claims

1. A home security system, having a portable device and a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, and which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, wherein

said portable device comprises:

an input portion, which inputs commands for monitoring or operation of said household equipment;

a first storage portion, which stores an identifier of said portable device and an identifier of said household equipment device;

a first reception portion, which receives a household equipment device identifier transmitted from said household equipment device by wireless signals;

a first comparison portion, which compares said household equipment device identifier received by said first reception portion and said household equipment device identifier stored in said first storage portion; and

,

a first transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said first comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits the identifier of said portable device stored in said first storage portion and a command input by said input portion, using wireless signals;

and wherein said household equipment device comprises;

a second storage portion, which stores said household equipment device identifier and an identifier of said portable device;

a second transmission portion, which transmits said household equipment device identifier stored in said second storage portion, using wireless signals;

a second reception portion, which receives a command and portable device identifier, transmitted from said first transmission portion;

a second comparison portion, which compares said portable device identifier received by said second reception portion with said portable device identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

an execution portion which, when the result of comparison by said second comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, executes said command received by said second reception portion.

2. The home security system according to claim 1, wherein

said portable device further comprises a third transmission portion which, prior to reception of said household equipment device identifier by said first reception portion, transmits M series data or binary pseudorandom data by means of wireless signals;

said household equipment device further comprises a third reception portion which receives M series data or binary pseudorandom data transmitted by said third transmission portion; and

,

said second transmission portion transmits said household equipment device identifier through the reception by said third reception portion of M series data or binary pseudorandom signals.

3. The home security system according to claim 1, wherein

said household equipment device further comprises a fourth transmission portion which transmits, by means of wireless signals, the result of execution of said command by said execution portion;

and,

said portable device further comprises a fourth reception portion which, after transmission of said command by said first transmission portion, receives said command execution result transmitted from said household equipment device by wireless signals, and a display portion which displays said command execution result received by said fourth reception portion.

15. The home security system according to claim 1, wherein said household equipment comprises a door lock, electrical appliance, or gas appliance;

said household equipment states comprise a locked or unlocked state for a door lock, an electrical power on or off state, temperature setting, or operating mode setting for an electrical appliance, and a lit state or an extinguished state for a gas appliance; and

operations on said household equipment comprise operations to lock or unlock a door lock, operations to turn on or off the power, change the temperature setting, or change the operating mode setting of an electrical appliance; and

operations to light or to extinguish a gas appliance.

16. The home security system according to claim 1, wherein said portable device is incorporated into a portable telephone or a wristwatch.

17. The home security system according to claim 16, wherein said input portion is also used as an input portion of said portable device or of said wristwatch.

18. The home security system according to claim 3, wherein said portable device is incorporated into a portable telephone or wristwatch, and said display portion is also used as a display portion of said portable telephone or of said wristwatch.

19. The home security system according to claim 3, wherein said command execution result comprises said household equipment state, or indication of completion of an operation, or an error message.

4. A home security system, having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, and a home server connected to said household equipment device via a home network, and which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, wherein

said portable device comprises:

an input portion, which inputs commands for monitoring or operation of said household equipment;

a first storage portion, which stores an identifier of said portable device and an identifier of said home server;

a first reception portion, which receives a home server identifier transmitted from said home server by wireless signals;

a first comparison portion, which compares said home server identifier received from said first reception portion and said home server identifier stored in said first storage portion; and

,

a first transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said first comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits the identifier of said portable device stored in said first storage portion and a command input by said input portion, using wireless signals;

wherein said home server comprises;

a second storage portion, which stores said home server identifier and said portable device identifier;

a second transmission portion, which transmits said home server identifier, stored in said second storage portion, using wireless signals;

a second reception portion, which receives a portable device identifier and a command transmitted by said first transmission portion;

a second comparison portion, which compares said portable device identifier received by said second reception portion and said portable device identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

a third transmission portion, which, when the result of comparison by said second comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits said command received by said second reception portion to said household equipment device via said home network;

and wherein said household equipment device comprises;

a third reception portion, which receives said command transmitted by said third transmission portion; and

,

an execution portion, which executes said command received by said third reception portion.

5. The home security system according to claim 4, wherein

said portable device further comprises a fourth transmission portion which transmits M series data or binary pseudorandom data using wireless signals prior to reception of said home server identifier by said first reception portion;

said home server further comprises a fourth reception portion which receives M series data or binary pseudorandom data transmitted by said fourth transmission portion; and

,

said second transmission portion transmits said home server identifier through the reception by said fourth reception portion of M series data or binary pseudorandom signals.

6. The home security system according to claim 4, wherein

said household equipment device further comprises a fifth transmission portion, which transmits the result of execution of said command by said execution portion via said home network;

said home server comprises a fifth reception portion which receives said command execution result transmitted by said fifth transmission portion, and a sixth transmission portion which transmits using wireless signals said command execution result received by said fifth reception portion; and

,

said portable device further comprises a sixth reception portion which receives said command execution result transmitted using wireless signals from said sixth transmission portion, and a display portion which displays said command execution result received by said sixth reception portion.

7. The home security system according to claim 4, wherein said home server is configured integrally with said household equipment device.

A home security system, having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, a home server connected to said household equipment device via a home network, and a security device connected to said home server via a communication network, and which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, wherein

said portable device comprises:

an input portion, which inputs commands for monitoring or operation of said household equipment;

a first storage portion, which stores a subscriber identifier allocated to the owner of said portable device or to said portable device; and

,

a first transmission portion, which transmits, using wireless signals, said subscriber identifier stored in said first storage portion and a command input using said input portion to said security device;

wherein said security device comprises;

a first reception portion, which receives said subscriber identifier and said command transmitted by said first transmission portion;

a second storage portion, which stores the subscriber identifiers of subscribers who have subscribed to an offered home security service;

a first comparison portion, which compares a subscriber identifier received by said first reception portion and the subscriber identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

a second transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said first comparison portion indicates that the two subscriber identifiers coincide, transmits said command received by said first reception portion to said home server via said communication network;

wherein said home server comprises;

a third reception portion, which receives said command transmitted by said second transmission portion; and

,

a third transmission portion, which transmits said command received by said third reception portion to said household equipment device via said home network;

and wherein said household equipment device comprises;

a fourth reception portion, which receives said command transmitted by said third transmission portion; and

,

an execution portion, which executes said command received by said fourth reception portion.

9. The home security system according to claim 8, wherein

said household equipment device further comprises a fourth transmission portion, which transmits the execution result of said command by said execution portion to said home server via said home network;

said home server comprises a fifth reception portion which receives said command execution result from said fourth transmission portion, and a fifth transmission portion which transmits said command execution result received by said fifth reception portion to said security device via said communication network;

said security device further comprises a transfer portion which transfers said execution result transmitted by said fifth transmission portion to said portable device; and

,

said portable device further comprises a sixth reception portion which receives said execution result transmitted using wireless signals from said transfer portion, and a display portion which displays said command execution result received by said sixth reception portion.

10. A home security system, having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, a home server connected to said household equipment device via a home network, a security device connected to said home server via a communication network, and a wireless certification device, owned or operated by a wireless certification authority, and connected to said security device via a communication network, and which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, wherein

said portable device comprises:

an input portion, which inputs commands for monitoring or operation of said household equipment;

a first storage portion, which stores a subscriber identifier allocated to the owner of said portable device or to said portable device, and a registrant identifier issued to said owner by said wireless certification authority;

a first transmission portion, which transmits, using wireless signals, said registrant identifier stored in said first storage portion; and

,

a second transmission portion, which transmits, using wireless signals, said subscriber identifier stored in said first storage portion and a command input using said input portion to said security device;

wherein said wireless certification device comprises;

a second storage portion, which stores a registrant identifier for a registrant who has been registered by said wireless certification authority, and certification data for said registrant;

a first reception portion, which receives said registrant identifier transmitted by said first transmission portion;

a first comparison portion, which compares said registrant identifier received by said first reception portion and said registrant identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

a third transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said first comparison portion indicates that the two registrant identifiers coincide, transmits certification data for the registrant corresponding to said registrant identifier to said security device via said communication network;

wherein said security device comprises;

a second reception portion, which receives said subscriber identifier and said command transmitted by said second transmission portion;

a third reception portion, which receives said certification data transmitted by said third transmission portion;

a third storage portion, which stores the subscriber identifiers of subscribers who have subscribed to an offered security service;

a second comparison portion, which compares said subscriber identifier received by said second reception portion and said subscriber identifier stored in said third storage portion; and

,

a fourth transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said second comparison portion indicates that the two subscriber identifiers coincide, and moreover when said certification data has been received by said third reception portion, transmits said command received by said second reception portion to said home server via said communication network;

wherein said home server comprises;

a fourth reception portion, which receives said command transmitted by said fourth transmission portion; and

,

a fifth transmission portion, which transmits said command received by said fourth reception portion to said household equipment device via said home network;

and wherein said household equipment device comprises;

a fifth reception portion, which receives said command transmitted by said fifth transmission portion; and

,

an execution portion, which executes said command received by said fifth reception portion.

11. The home security system according to claim 10, wherein

said household equipment device further comprises a sixth transmission portion, which transmits the result of execution of said command by said execution portion to said home server via said home network;

said home server comprises a sixth reception portion which receives said command execution result transmitted by said sixth transmission portion, and a seventh transmission portion which transmits said command execution result received by said sixth reception portion to said security device via said communication network;

said security device further comprises a transfer portion, which transfers said execution result transmitted by said seventh transmission portion to said portable device; and

,

said portable device further comprises a seventh reception portion which receives said execution result transmitted using wireless signals from said transfer portion, and a display portion which displays said command execution result received by said seventh reception portion.

12. The home security system according to claim 10, wherein

said household equipment device further comprises a sixth transmission portion, which transmits the result of execution of said command by said execution portion to said home server via said home network;

said home server comprises a seventh reception portion which receives said command execution result transmitted from said sixth transmission portion, and an eighth transmission portion which transmits, using wireless signals, said command execution result received by said seventh reception portion to said portable device; and

,

said portable device further comprises an eighth reception portion, which receives said command execution result transmitted using wireless signals from said eighth transmission portion, and a display portion which displays said command execution result received by said eighth reception portion.

The home security system according to claim 10, wherein said wireless certification device further comprises a fourth storage portion which, when the result of comparison by said first comparison portion indicates that both registrant identifiers coincide, records as a log the fact that said registrant identifier was received from a registrant corresponding to said registrant identifier.

14. The home security system according to claim 10, wherein said home server is configured integrally with said household equipment.

20. A method of state monitoring or operation of household equipment, executed by a home security system having a portable device and a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, wherein

in said household equipment device, an identifier of said household equipment device is transmitted using wireless signals;

in said portable device, said household equipment device identifier transmitted from said household equipment device is received;

in said portable device, said received household equipment device identifier and a household equipment device identifier stored in advance in said portable device are compared, and if the result of comparison indicates both identifiers coincide, an identifier for said portable device and a command for monitoring or operation of household equipment input through the input portion of said portable device are transmitted using wireless signals;

in said household equipment device, said household equipment device identifier and command transmitted from said portable device are received; and

,

in said household equipment device, said received portable device identifier is compared with said portable device identifier stored in advance in said household equipment device, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two identifiers coincide, then said received command is executed.

21. A method of state monitoring or operation of household equipment, executed by a home security system having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, and a home server connected to said household equipment device over a home network, wherein

in said home server, an identifier of said home server is transmitted using wireless signals;

in said portable device, said home server identifier transmitted from said home server is received;

in said portable device, said received home server identifier and a home server identifier stored in advance in said portable device are compared, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two identifiers coincide, said portable device identifier and a command for monitoring or operation of household equipment, input using an input portion of said portable device, are transmitted using wireless signals;

in said home server, said portable device identifier and command transmitted from said portable device are received;

in said home server, said received portable device identifier and an identifier of said portable device, stored in advance in said home server, are compared, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two identifiers coincide, said received command is transmitted to said household equipment device over said home network;

in said household equipment device, said command transmitted from said home server over said home network is received; and

,

in said household equipment device, said received command is executed.

22. A method of state monitoring or operation of household equipment, executed by a home security system having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, a home server connected to said household equipment device over a home network, and a security device connected to said home server over a communication network, wherein

in said portable device, a subscriber identifier allocated to the owner of said portable device or to said portable device, stored in advance, and a command to monitor or operate said household equipment, input from an input portion of said portable device, are transmitted to said security device using wireless signals;

in said security device, said subscriber identifier and said command transmitted by said portable device are received;

in said security device, a subscriber identifier for a subscriber who has subscribed to an offered home security service, stored in advance, is compared with said received subscriber identifier, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two subscriber identifiers coincide, said received command is transmitted to said home server via said communication network;

in said home server, said command transmitted by said security device is received;

in said home server, said received command is transmitted to said household equipment device over said home network;

in said household equipment device, said command transmitted by said home server is received; and

,

in said household equipment device, said received command is executed.

23. A method of state monitoring or operation of household equipment, executed by a home security system having a portable device, a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, a home server connected to said household equipment device over a home network, a security device connected to said home server over a communication network, and a wireless certification device, owned or operated by a wireless certification authority, and connected to said security device over a communication network, wherein

in said portable device, a subscriber identifier allocated to the owner of said portable device or to said portable device, stored in advance, and a command to monitor or operate said household equipment, input from an input portion of said portable device, are transmitted to said security device using wireless signals, and in addition a registrant identifier, issued to said owner by said wireless certification authority and stored in advance, is transmitted to said wireless certification device using wireless signals;

in said wireless certification device, said registrant identifier transmitted from said portable device is received;

in said wireless certification device, said received registrant identifier and a registrant identifier of a registrant registered by said wireless certification authority and stored in advance are compared, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two registrant identifiers coincide, certification data for the registrant corresponding to said registrant identifier stored in advance is transmitted to said security device via said communication network;

in said security device, said subscriber identifier and said command transmitted by said portable device are received;

in said security device, said received subscriber identifier and a subscriber identifier for a subscriber who has subscribed to an offered security service, stored in advance, are compared, and if the result of comparison indicates that the two subscriber identifiers coincide, and if moreover said certification data transmitted from said wireless certification device has been received, said received command is transmitted to said home server via said communication network;

in said home server, said command transmitted from said security device is received;

in said home server, said received command is transmitted to said household equipment device via said home network;

in said household equipment device, said command transmitted by said home server is received; and

,

in said household equipment device, said received command is executed.

24. A portable device, which performs wireless communication with a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house and performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, comprising:

an input portion, which inputs commands to monitor or operate said household equipment;

a storage portion which stores an identifier of said portable device and an identifier of said household equipment device;

a reception portion, which receives a household equipment device identifier transmitted using wireless signals from said household equipment device;

a comparison portion, which compares said household equipment device identifier received by said reception portion and the identifier of said household equipment device stored in said storage portion; and

,

a transmission portion, which, when the result of comparison by said comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits, using wireless signals, said household equipment device identifier stored in said storage portion and said command input by said input portion to said household equipment device.

25. A portable device, which performs wireless communication with a home server connected via a home network to a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house and performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment, comprising:

an input portion, which inputs commands to monitor or operate said household equipment;

a storage portion which stores an identifier of said portable device and an identifier of said home server;

a reception portion, which receives a home server identifier transmitted using wireless signals from said home server;

a comparison portion, which compares said home server identifier received by said reception portion and the identifier of said home server stored in said storage portion; and

,

a transmission portion, which, when the result of comparison by said comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits, using wireless signals, said household equipment device identifier stored in said storage portion and said command input by said input portion to said home server.

26. A household equipment device, connected to household equipment provided in a house, which performs state monitoring and operation of said household equipment according to instructions from a portable device, comprising:

a storage portion, which stores an identifier of said household equipment device and an identifier of said portable device;

a transmission portion, which transmits, using wireless signals, said household equipment device identifier stored in said storage portion;

a reception portion, which receives a portable device identifier and command transmitted from said portable device;

a comparison portion, which compares said portable device identifier received by said reception portion and said portable device identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

an execution portion which, when the result of comparison by said comparison portion indicates the two identifiers coincide, executes said command received by said second reception portion.

27. A home server, connected via a home network to a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment according to instructions from a portable device, comprising:

a storage portion, which stores an identifier of said home server and an identifier of said portable device;

a transmission portion, which transmits said home server identifier stored in said storage portion, using wireless signals;

a reception portion, which receives said portable device identifier and a command for monitoring or operation of said household equipment, transmitted by wireless signals from said portable device;

a comparison portion, which compares said portable device identifier received by said reception portion with said portable device identifier stored in said storage portion; and

,

a transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said comparison portion indicates that the two identifiers coincide, transmits said command received by said reception portion via said home network to said household equipment device.

28. A security device, connected via a communication network to a home server connected via a home network to a household equipment device connected to household equipment provided in a house, which performs state monitoring or operation of said household equipment based on instructions from a portable device, comprising:

a first storage portion, which stores a subscriber identifier of a subscriber who has subscribed to an offered home security service;

a first reception portion, which receives the subscriber identifier allocated to the owner of said portable device or to said portable device, and a command to monitor or operate said household equipment, transmitted using wireless signals from said portable device;

a first comparison portion, which compares said subscriber identifier received by said reception portion and said subscriber identifier stored in said storage portion; and

,

a transmission portion which, when the result of comparison by said comparison portion indicates that the two subscriber identifiers coincide, transmits said command received by said reception portion to said home server or to said household equipment device via said communication network.

29. The security device according to claim 28, further comprising:

a second storage portion, which stores a registrant identifier and certification data for a registrant who has been registered by a wireless certification authority;

a second reception portion, which receives the registrant identifier of said portable device or the owner of said portable device, transmitted using wireless signals from said portable device;

a second comparison portion, which compares said registrant identifier received by said second reception portion and said registrant identifier stored in said second storage portion; and

,

an issuing portion, which, when the result of comparison by said second comparison portion indicates that the two registrant identifiers coincide, issues certification data for the registrant corresponding to said registrant identifier; and

wherein

when, as a result of comparison by said comparison portion, both subscriber identifiers coincide, and moreover when said certification data is issued by said issuing portion, said transmission portion transmits said command.
