Abstract

A data search device includes a playback unit playing back subjective data representing a subjectivity for predetermined content data from a recording medium on which the subjective data is recorded in association with the content data; a receiving unit receiving subjective data input by a user; and a searching unit searching for the content data in accordance with the subjective data played back by the playback unit and the subjective data received by the receiving unit.

Claims

1. A recording medium on which predetermined content data and subjective data representing a subjectivity for the content data are recorded in association with each other.

2. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the content data is audio data, image data, or video data.

3. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the subjective data is data of a language representing an impression.

4. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the subjective data is data of a language representing a scene.

5. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein new subjective data can be added to the subjective data, which has been recorded, or the recorded subjective data can be changed.

6. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein one or more pieces of subjective data are recorded for a piece of content data.

7. The recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the recording medium is an optical disk, a hard disk, a semiconductor memory, a magnetic tape, or a server on a network.

8. A recording device comprising recording means for recording predetermined content data, subjective data representing a subjectivity for the content data, and a tag associating the content data with the subjective data on a predetermined recording medium.

9. A recording method comprising the step of recording predetermined content data, subjective data representing a subjectivity for the content data, and a tag associating the content data with the subjective data on a predetermined recording medium.

10. A data search device comprising:

playback means for playing back subjective data representing a subjectivity for predetermined content data from a recording medium on which the subjective data is recorded in association with the content data;

receiving means for receiving subjective data input by a user; and

searching means for searching for the content data in accordance with the subjective data played back by the playback means and the subjective data received by the receiving means.

11. A data search method comprising the steps of:

playing back subjective data representing a subjectivity for predetermined content data from a recording medium on which the subjective data is recorded in association with the content data;

receiving subjective data input by a user; and

searching for the content data in accordance with the subjective data played back by the playing back step and the subjective data received by the receiving step.

12. A data generating device comprising:

a database in which subjective data representing a subjectivity for content data is stored;

receiving means for receiving the subjective data;

processing means for performing statistical processing on the subjective data received by the receiving means; and

updating means for updating the database in accordance with the subjective data processed by the processing means.

13. A recording device comprising a recording unit recording predetermined content data, subjective data representing a subjectivity for the content data, and a tag associating the content data with the subjective data on a predetermined recording medium.

14. A data search device comprising:

a playback unit playing back subjective data representing a subjectivity for predetermined content data from a recording medium on which the subjective data is recorded in association with the content data;

a receiving unit receiving subjective data input by a user; and

a searching unit searching for the content data in accordance with the subjective data played back by the playback unit and the subjective data received by the receiving unit.

15. A data generating device comprising:

a database in which subjective data representing a subjectivity for content data is stored;

a receiving unit receiving the subjective data;

a processing unit performing statistical processing on the subjective data received by the receiving unit; and

an updating unit updating the database in accordance with the subjective data processed by the processing unit.
