1. A system for modifying the vision of a subject, comprising:
- a) An adjustable lens system adapted for modifying a visual input to a subject;
b) A sensor for detecting a neuromuscular signal from said subject;
c) A signal processor configured to receive as input said neuromuscular signal and to process said neuromuscular signal to generate as output at least one quality parameter characterizing a quality of said visual input; and
d) A lens system controller configured to receive as input said at least one quality parameter and to generate as output a closed-loop control signal for updating an adjustment of said adjustable lens system in response to said at least one quality parameter.

11. A method of enhancing the vision of a subject, comprising the steps of:

a) detecting a neuromuscular signal from the subject;
b) inferring a focal condition associated with said neuromuscular signal, wherein there is a known relation between said focal condition and a state of focus of a visual input to an eye of said subject;
c) adjusting a lens system in response to said focal condition in order to modify said visual input; and

27. A method of providing adaptive vision modification, comprising the steps of:

a) Detecting a neural signal from a subject;
b) Inferring a relation between a component of said neural signal and a quality parameter of a visual input to at least one eye of said subject; and
