1. A method of forming an electrophotographic photoreceptor having conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer, comprising the steps of:

  • coating a coating solution containing ingredients of the photosensitive layer and a solvent medium containing one or more kinds of solvent on a conductive substrate thereby forming a coating film; and

drying the formed coating film by heating by means of one or more of heating methods selected from the group consisting of a far infrared ray heating method, a microwave heating method, a dielectric heating method, and an induction heating method, in an air stream at a temperature of 50°

    C. or higher and 130°

    C. or less, wherein the solvent medium contains 30% by weight or more of a solvent having a relative evaporation rate of less than 1.7, where the relative evaporation rate of the solvent is defined as a ratio between a time for evaporating n-butyl acetate and a time for evaporating the solvent.
