Abstract

The present invention discloses an improved method and device for the display of a images incorporating the audience in a performance together with the integration of independently translocated three-dimensional displays. Improved methods for manufacturing a visual display incorporating a scanned light source and presenting visual information are also disclosed.

Claims

1. A projector and audience unit receiver system comprising:

a) a control board having means to transmit a series of commands to a projector,

b) said projector having means to receive said commands from said control board and having means to project at least one directional signal to at least one of a plurality of audience unit receivers,

c) said audience unit receiver having means to receive said signal and emit a designated response.

2. A projector and audience unit receiver system as specified in claim 1 wherein said audience unit receiver means for emitting a designated response further includes at least one light and means for powering said light.

3. A projector and audience unit receiver system as specified in claim 1 wherein said audience unit receiver means for emitting a designated response further includes at least one audio speaker and means for powering said speaker.

4. A projector and audience unit receiver system as specified in claim 1 wherein said projector further includes means for scanning all of a plurality of audience unit receivers within 100 milliseconds.

5. A projector and audience unit receiver system as specified in claim 1 wherein said projector further includes means for automatic spatial registration.

6. An autostereoscopic performance effects systems in according with claim 1, further comprising:

a) a control board having means to transmit a series of commands to a projector,

b) said projector having means to receive said commands from said control board and having means to project at least one directional signal to at least one of a plurality of audience unit receivers,

c) said audience unit receiver having means to receive said signal and emit a designated response

d) said audience unit displaying a pixel of autostereoscopic pattern.

7. An autostereoscopic performance effects systems in accordance with claim 6 wherein said audience unit further includes means to shift said autostereoscopic pattern in relation to the orientation of the audience unit.

8. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 1 wherein said projector means further include means to mount upon a track having an optical communications means.

9. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 1 wherein said projector means further include means to move upon a track having an optical communications means.

10. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 1 wherein said projector means further include means to increase the perceived resolution by saccadic patterns.

11. A beam holographic performance display system comprising:

a) a control computer having means to transmit a series of commands to a projector matrix,

b) said projector having means to receive said commands from said control board and having means to project at least one directional signal to at least one of a plurality of audience units.

12. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 11 wherein said projector matrix means further include means to increase the perceived resolution by saccadic patterns.

13. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 11 wherein said projector means further include transform means to transform an X-Y array into a series of horizontal arrays visible through a reduced number of apertures.

14. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 11 wherein said projector means further include transform means having a series of curved optical elements.

15. An performance display systems in accordance with claim 11 wherein said projector means further include transform means having a series of curved optical elements.

16. An audience display unit comprised of at least one autostereoscopic elements.

17. An audience display unit comprised of a plurality of spaced-apart autostereoscopic elements.
