Abstract

An apparatus and method of delivering data in a wireless communication system, the apparatus and method comprising of determining, based on first criteria, if a shared channel can utilized to transmit an actual data packet; converting said actual data packet into one or more first data packets, wherein each said one or more first data packet represent a portion of said actual data packet; and transmitting each said one or more first data packet using said shared channel.

Claims

1. A method of delivering data in a wireless communication system, the method comprising acts of:

determining, if a shared channel can be utilized to transmit a data packet based on a first criteria;

converting said actual data packet into one or more first data packets, wherein each said one or more first data packet represent a portion of said actual data packet; and

transmitting each said one or more first data packet utilizing said shared channel.

2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said act of determining comprises an act of evaluating if a capacity threshold is reached.

3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said act of converting comprises an act of attaching a prefix to at least one of said one or more first data packet.

4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said act of converting comprises an act of dividing said actual data into a series of encoded data blocks.

5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said act of transmitting comprises of transmitting each said one or more first data packet using a interlace transmission scheme.

6. A method of receiving data in a wireless communication system, the method comprising acts of:

receiving a plurality of information bits;

determining if a packet of data is contained in said plurality of information bits;

extracting a first portion from said packet of data; and

processing said information contained in said first portion.

7. The method as claimed in claim 6, further comprising act of extracting a prefix portion from said plurality of information bits.

8. The method as claimed in claim 7, further comprising act of utilizing said prefix portion to decode said first portion.

9. In a wireless communication system, an apparatus comprising:

an electronic device, said electronic device configured to determine, if a shared channel can be utilized to transmit a data packet based on a first criteria, to convert said actual data packet into one or more first data packets, wherein each said one or more first data packet represent a portion of said actual data packet, and transmit each said one or more first data packet utilizing said shared channel.

10. The apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein said first criteria comprises a capacity threshold.

11. The apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein said electronic device further configured to attach a prefix to at least one of said one or more first data packet.

12. The apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein said electronic device further configured to divide said actual data into a series of encoded data blocks.

13. The apparatus as claimed in claim 9, wherein said electronic device further configured to transmit each said one or more first data packet using a interlace transmission scheme.

14. In a wireless communication system, an apparatus comprising:

an electronic device, said electronic device configured to receive a plurality of information bits, to determine if a packet of data is contained in said plurality of information bits, to extract a first portion from said packet of data, and to process said information contained in said first portion.

15. The apparatus as claimed in claim 14, wherein said electronic device further configured to extract a prefix portion from said plurality of information bits.

16. The apparatus as claimed in claim 15, wherein said electronic device further configured to of utilize said prefix portion to decode said first portion.

17. An apparatus for delivering data in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising:

means for determining, based on first criteria, if a shared channel can utilized to transmit an actual data packet;

means for converting said actual data packet into one or more first data packets, wherein each said one or more first data packet represent a portion of said actual data packet; and

means for transmitting each said one or more first data packet using said shared channel.

18. The apparatus as claimed in claim 17, wherein said means for determining comprises means for evaluating if a capacity threshold is reached.

19. The apparatus as claimed in claim 17, wherein said means for converting comprises means for attaching a prefix to at least one of said one or more first data packet.

20. The apparatus as claimed in claim 17, wherein said means for converting comprises means for dividing said actual data into a series of encoded data blocks.

21. The apparatus as claimed in claim 17, wherein said means for transmitting comprises means for transmitting each said one or more first data packet using a interlace transmission scheme.

22. A apparatus of receiving data in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising:

means for receiving a plurality of information bits;

means for determining if a packet of data is contained in said plurality of information bits;

means for extracting a first portion from said packet of data; and

means for processing said information contained in said first portion.

23. The apparatus as claimed in claim 22, further comprising means for extracting a prefix portion from said plurality of information bits.

24. The apparatus as claimed in claim 23, further comprising means for utilizing said prefix portion to decode said first portion.

25. A machine-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations including:

determining, based on first criteria, if a shared channel can utilized to transmit an actual data packet;

converting said actual data packet into one or more first data packets, wherein each said one or more first data packet represent a portion of said actual data packet; and

transmitting each said one or more first data packet using said shared channel.

26. A machine-readable medium of claim 25, wherein said machine readable instruction to cause converting comprises of attaching a prefix to at least one of said one or more first data packet.

27. A machine-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations including:

receiving a plurality of information bits;

determining if a packet of data is contained in said plurality of information bits;

extracting a first portion from said packet of data; and

processing said information contained in said first portion.

28. A machine-readable medium of claim 27, further comprising machine readable instruction to cause extracting a prefix portion from said plurality of information bits.

29. A machine-readable medium of claim 27, further comprising machine readable instruction to cause utilizing said prefix portion to decode said first portion.
